By not compressing toes there isn't a chance of them causing or contributing to ingrown nails. The fabric is thick, soft and comfortable. No pinching like thinner fabrics. The XL is a little tall for my legs. Would like a petite option. The heel fits the foot great. I have worn compression hose for at least 40 yrs as a critical care nurse. Lots of long standing shifts have caused peripheral leg edema. These are very helpful. Bought the 2nd pair a couple of weeks after the first pair. I don't want to go back to closed toe or thinner fabrics. They wash and dry well in lingerie bag. I have always worn a wool or wool blend thin sock over compression hose for comfort. Compression hose cause my feet to slip inside the shoe, socks stop the movement.

This is the third (and BEST) pair of compression socks I have tried, and they fit beautifully! The perfect stretch makes them easy to put on and even easier to take off! No more tugging, groaning, pulling, twisting to put on compression socks. These are the real deal. They go on just like the illustrated instructions show. They are comfortable and provide the right amount of compression. I was afraid I would be returning these socks, also, but to my extreme delight they are simply better than I could have hoped for. I've never found compression hose that fit my oddly shaped legs- ankle as large as calf with dip in between. Usually, they can't get over my ankle. These fit well. They are too long (I'm short with short legs) but that's not much of an issue as I wear them only at night. They are snug at the knee but not too bad and it keeps them from slipping down.

I bought these because they were bamboo, allegedly cooler, were soft and had a variety of sizes. First, I bought a size that was larger than I would wear. Yes, I did measure my ankle and calf. I wanted a slightly looser fit. They came in and they were thicker than all the other ones I have tried. They were not cool but very hot and they were not remotely soft. Then they were extremely tight and after 30 minutes I had had enough. They were also way too long coming over my knee. I gave these away and am very disappointed that I spent money on one more pair of compression socks that don't fit. This expensive search for comfortable compression socks continues.

Very comfortable for for my mom! It’s not easy to find a compression stocking with a little give toit. Her calves were ranging from 14.5” to 17.5” when they were so swollen. These have helped her so very much!!
