Worth the money!

This has become my most oft-used blade on my Cuisinart food processor. The julienne strips really speed up the cooking time for things like carrots and summer squash in a stir-fry. Also a great way to add carrots to a salad. It takes mere seconds. And clean-up isn't difficult if you rinse it well soon after use.

Tends to get stuck for carrots and sweet potatoes (thicker foods). Works great for softer foods.

Supplement for food processor

My two favorite recipes require yellow squash and zucchini to be shredded thinly, like noodles. I was spending half an hour with a mandolin. This blade worked wonderfully! Just as I had hoped! Now, half an hour turns into two minutes! My only complaint is that the shipping took a very long time, even for it to be shipped out. It may have been due to the holidays, but still seemed a bit long. I ordered on 12/30, and it wasn't mailed until 1/4. I just received it today, the 10th. I am thrilled, though, a great purchase!Update - I still love this blade! It has beautifully cut my squash just as well as when I first reviewed it. I needed to shred a raw sweet potato last week, and the shredder blade couldn't do a thing with it. I tried this blade, and it shredded it perfectly! I have hardly reviewed any items, let alone updated my review, so that tells you how much I love this blade!

When I look at customer ratings I look at percentages. This item was over 70% five star rated and less than 10% one star rated. Therefore I decided to take a chance on this product hoping that I would receive an item that is worth four or five stars. Sadly I’m going to have to give this item 1 star. The blade that I received is not sharp and it does not Julienne anything, it just mashes up it up and makes a mess.

I love my cuisinart. Cutting vegetables is so fast now. I used to julienne vegetables by hand for summer rolls - very time consuming. I hesitated on buying this blade because the price is pretty high through a lot of places and I wasn't sure I would really use it THAT often. This was a great deal and works very well. Slicing that used to take hours I can do in just minutes - no exaggeration. Because it's so fast I use julienne-cut veggies more than I used to. This is great for making somen salad or other dishes that you might not otherwise try because of the work.

This is a strong well-made blade. I was only expecting something a little bit different. The results are too similar to the grading disk, which already comes with the food processor. But if you are very particular about having a very small difference between graded vegetables and these julienne cut vegetables, then it is a very good quality blade, and I recommend it.
