Eddie Bauer Women's Sun Valley Down Parka

Love this coat so much! I live at about 7,000 ft so a warm coat is necessary in the winter. This is super cozy and soft on the inside (sleeves are not lined with ththe soft fur) the shell is somewhat waterproof, but works great when out for a walk with the pup when it's snowing. I wore it out snowshoeing and had to unzip cause I got to hot!I am 5'10, 175 and it comes to about mid thigh on me, I think I got a large and it fits perfect!

I live in Wisconsin. I bought the coat prior to a trip that included Chicago, Minneapolis, and Amsterdam. One coat had to handle all three places. This one was absolutely perfect! Chicago was cold, Amsterdam was cool and overcast, with rain thrown into the mix on our last day, and Minneapolis was downright frigid— meaning never above zero and as low as 19 below. I was comfortable in all three places, as well as at home since I returned. Another advantage is that the coat stuffed easily into the overhead compartment on the airplane without taking up much space. A nice feature is that it has a zipper pocket on the left chest that fits my iPhone 8 Plus. I am particularly pleased because I returned two or three disappointing coats before I finally got this one. It was definitely worth waiting for.

I am 5'7", 135lbs, and originally ordered a small, despite other reviews. It fit well, except that it was too tight across the chest (an unusual problem for a small-chested lady), and after a while it became hard to take a deep breath. Returned for a medium, which fits much better.Pros:Wind-proofWarm (it was 9 degrees and windy here in WI yesterday, and I was comfortable, if not toasty, running errands).Sleeves are long enough (!!!)Sleeve cuff and pockets are very soft.Hood is generous, and stays up. Haven't had problems with the snaps yet.Haven't had problems with feathers poking through yet.Cons:Still a bit tight across the chest/shoulders. I feel restricted when reaching for anything.Pockets could be deeper. My wrists stick out if I extend my fingers.Another thing I noticed is that this coat is warm except when leaning up against anything outside/in a cold car. Unlike other down coats, which provide an insulated 'cushion' (can lie on a snow-covered ground and not feel the cold seep through), the lack of bulk on this coat (a plus!) doesn't provide that same cushion.Overall, it's my new go-to winter coat, and I am satisfied with it.

I looked at many other brands including the north face, and this coat looks higher quality than any of them. I wear a size 12 in a dress and the large fits perfectly, with plenty of room for layering. Doesn't look puffy. I love it!

This is a beautiful jacket! I wear a 16-18 woman's size and ordered the 1X and it fits perfectly. It arrived very quickly. It it very warm and cozy and looks very nice and slimming on. I got the Olive green. I haven't worn it in the rain yet, as I got it to be prepared for the predicted El Nino, and El Nino hasn't hit us yet. I'm sure it will do fine once we get some bad weather (I live in Southern Calif). I like to be prepared. I would definitely recommend this down jacket.

Overall great coat. Bought for trip to NYC and was very glad I had it when the temps dipped to 13 degrees during the day. It is a slimmer fit, so if you want to layer I would suggest going up one size. I wear a size 12 (med/large on top) and the large fit perfect with a tank top and sweater. Front pockets are small and so not functional for carrying anything other than a cell phone or chapstick. The chest pocket was handy for our train and subway tickets.

I'm into this coat! I am 5'5, about 165lbs and I got a large. I'm glad I did because if I'm wearing a heavy sweater, it's hard to not zip my sweater into the zipper. Got to be careful. But I think if I got an XL, it might be too much? I'm happy with the large. The pockets are SUPER SOFT inside. Love the zipper pockets. Perfect for my keys on one side and phone in the other. The inside of the sleeves are super soft too. It feels luxurious. Love it!

The jacket is very warm and weather resistant. I loved the green Loden color and the hood, but my absolute favorite feature was the plush lined pockets - so cozy! I waited to purchase until the Black Friday sales, and in the weeks I was waiting I found the prices here to be right in line with the sales on Eddie Bauer's website. In the end, I sent it back because of the fit. The small it hugged my belly and made me look pregnant, and the shoulders were too wide in the medium. I'm 5'5" and 130lbs.
