I'm not hugely tech savvy but it was relatively easy to connect to my existing router and network. We have a new fibre broadband and speed is good (150mB) - I just wanted to eliminate blackspots and create a mesh across the whole house. Appeared to work well for 2 or 3 weeks but then noticed issues. Teams calls reported poor network connectivity despite speed test on my phone showing that it was good - i was dropped out of calls etc. Then I noticed that my iPhone was connected to the wifi network but the connection 'wheel' was spinning and there was no internet. You wouldn't be aware of an issue as phones would be using 4G data connection. After a reset - of all units then the whole network - one of the units wouldn't reconnect. I've given in and gone for a refund. Amazon very helpful, full refund offered.

Set up the Deco mesh at first was working great wanted to replace the EE disc system I’m paying monthly for!! However after 3 hrs the main unit failed completely no power to the unit, tried another power supply from a working unit but it was dead, Returned for a refund!! For those who didn’t know like me these units will replace your router one must be set as your main unit.

Very disappointed with this system. I work from home as a software dev, and needed to connections to test devices and other equipment. Lots of devices seem to loose connection at will. We have Sky Q in 3 rooms, they would continually drop connection and have to be set-up. Smart heating system continually disconnecting. We live in a modern 4 bed house, so no thick walls or anything to impede signal. Great wifi strength, but there is little point if devices keep dropping off. The connectivity provided by our broadband provider is so much more stable. Cant recommend to anyone, £190 down the drain :(

This tp link deco mesh system has a bad ongoing issue - it repeatedly and randomly disconnects devices from the network for no good reason. A quick google reveals this has been happening for quite a while on the tp support forum. Support suggests turning off Mesh (so why buy the product then??) and the usual update drivers BS which makes no difference. It’s a shame as the product was easy to install and looks neat. However AVOID THIS PRODUCT it’s got a fatal bug that hasn’t been sorted.

I live in a single story property. The wifi speed from the router is really poor and there are lots of dead spots after moving from the router. So I thought after reading plenty of reviews this wifi mesh from TP-Link would solve my problems. Unfortunately they did not!! I thought the price was a lot to pay to help provide signal in what is a small property. However not only did this mesh wifi not improve my wifi speed, but I had to spend more money buying additional kit. The app wasn't very useful in terms of initial setup and I had a number of issues connecting to my network to begin with. I would not recommend these to anyone.

Annoyed that you can’t give a 0 star rating. Bought this to upgrade from our existing TP Link Deco Mesh which is now not able to cope with our new 900 mbps broadband. Followed the instructions to the letter but the app “couldn’t find” the main unit of the new system. Tried multiple time in the space of an hour and exhausted all the troubleshooting ideas on the TP-Link website before giving up. Claims to be easy to set up but is anything but, reboxed and returned for refund. My advice would be don’t buy

I have a reliable fast FTTP internet connection. All my wired devices connect to the internet just fine. I have a 3 Deco mesh system, 2 are connected by ethernet cable to the router and one is wireless. All three Deco units regularly disconnect, with a solid red light, then between 30-60s later they come back online. During this time all wired devices remain connected to the internet, however anything using wifi loses connection until the Deco units come back online. For the price I expected much better. These are utterly unfit for purpose. If you're looking for rock solid reliable wifi, AVOID TP-LINK Deco!

I'm rating this the lowest possible score for one simple reason: the update process is absolutely awful. EVERY time I upgrade the firmware, it takes ages, and always results in a red light being displayed for minutes, filling me with anxiety because a red light signifies some kind of error, and so I think I've bricked the routers. This happened EVERY time I run an upgrade! Although so far the routers have always corrected themselves, subjecting your customers to this level of anxiety and worry is simply unacceptable. The upgrade process always messed up the app as well, and I have to jump through a bunch of hoops turning off mobile data, logging out, etc. to get it to (hopefully) work again. Update: Last night my Internet connection seemed to die. All of the Deco units had a red light. The app wouldn't let me do anything as I'd get an error either about it not being able to connect to the "cloud service", or not being able to find the router at all. The lights on my FTTP modem implied my Internet connection was working, and plugging an old router in, I could use the Internet again. I'm returning this for a refund. Hopefully I've finally learned my lesson about TP-Link products.

Très bon produit, toutefois trop cher. Bonne application, installation facile. Dans ma maison j’ai de 800 mégas à 1 giga de wifi en moyenne. Petit conseil laissez le wifi de la box pour les invités et créez un nouveau réseau personnel et puissant à votre usage. Contrairement aux idées reçues adsl ou fibre n’ont pas de meilleur wifi, d’où l’intérêt de ce type d’appareil.
