A great basics kit for beginners and children!
I am very into jewelry making, and wanted to try out polymer clay to make some charms. This kit has a great assortment of tools for beginners, and I love that it came in a storage box. The clay itself isn’t the best quality, but I wasn’t expecting it to be. I think this is a good kit if you want to try out polymer clay and don’t want to sink money into high quality materials just yet. It’s also a great kit for children to use as well!! The clay cutters and tools included are great basics that I’ll continue to use moving forward as I venture into better quality clays. Definitely play with the bake times, and be sure to cover the clay in the oven to prevent burning!!

Good for crafting, not making jewelry
The roller is a small tube, not a sold acrylic roller. The clay is very cheap and hard to work with, you can’t really make clay earrings from this kit because the clay cracks in the oven. I liked the variety of the cutters and they are metal and good quality, my favorite part of this kit .

I make polymer clay earrings
I really enjoyed this clay. I got advice for making polymer clay earrings. Get a small bowl and put either corn starch or baking powder in a bowl. And dip your clay in it before and it won’t be sticky. And then when you roll it out, it won’t stick. It’s very fun and easy to make clay Earrings. Bake on parchment paper that can go in the oven on 275 degrees for 15 mins. Let it cool off. You can use clear nail polish to make it shiny also. I love making cow print earrings. Use white clay and put dabs of black in it and then roll it out. So fun!

The clay has a learning curve
The polymer doesn't harden while baking so I thought it was defective. I hardens after taking it out of the oven to cool. This kit is perfect for practice for beginners like me.

Easy to use
This is the perfect set for beginners as you do get several colors to play with, and several cut outs. It’s not something I would buy if I was a very advanced at making these kind of earrings.
