Great for Hospitalists
Awesome book guys, we are a medium sized community hospital with usual but not always general neurology coverage, apparently hard to come by. This book gives me the confidence to help fill in the gaps and provide excellent care and know when to refer. Excellent and practical understanding of a symptom based neurological disease .

A must read
I am starting my residency in Neurology. Reading this excellent well written, practical and organized book is providing me with an enthusiastic and very educational manner to learn Neurology. This book is a fantastic resource for any person interested or not in this field and I think ‘it is “a must read” for any Neurology resident, Neurologist or any other physician because it offers a very well integrated, comprehensive, detailed and practical information that any Neurologist and medical provider should learn and know in a hospital setting . I love the approach of this book because it describes each topic with cases, very helpful tables and in a very well descriptive way that makes it a very smooth and enriched reading. For these reasons, this book is an extremely helpful, knowledgable and entertaining tool/resource that it is assisting with my Neurology formation and education. It is a great pleasure and honor having had the opportunity to have this book between my hands and being able to “squeeze” it into my brain.Thank you very much for sharing this “diamond” with us and congratulations for such a amazing and admirable work.

The Hospital Neurology Book is a fantastic resource for any physician or neurology enthusiast
The Hospital Neurology Book is a fantastic resource for any physician or neurology enthusiast. The innovative design has led to a text which is ideally suited to practical use. Chapters are organized in a manner in which an experienced clinician would approach a case on the same topic. The writing is engaging and succinct, and there are multiple charts which allow for quick reference regarding relevant facts, as well as suggested approaches to obtaining key information from the history and physical examination. This structure is ideal for medical students or neurology residents who are looking to develop an adept approach to the diagnosis and management of inpatient neurological issues. And yet, the text is detailed enough to allow even even experienced clinicians to improve their efficiency or fill gaps in their knowledge and could easily serve as a well worn reference book for ongoing clinical practice. I highly recommend this textbook to anyone who will encounter inpatient neurology in their careers. - Benjamin N Blond, MD

A Must-Have for Neurologists and Trainees
This is a must-have textbook for neurology residents and medical students. Drs. Salardini and Biller write in a concise way that captures "must know" essentials without going into unnecessary detail. Particular strengths:1) Headings are in the form of questions, which helps jog baseline knowledge on the subject before reading onwards. Many of these questions are frequently encountered on the wards and the text provides succinct and evidence-based answers.2) Great clinical scenarios involving the intersection between neurological and internal medicine (for example chapter "Cardiovascular Emergencies on the Neurology Wards) - again, great common scenarios, helpful for decision-making. Often lacking in similar texts.3) High-yield tables following the same pattern of conciseness, not overburdening with information - great as references and for memorizationThis book will be a staple on my bookshelf going into neurological practice. Highly recommend for all neuro-hospitalists and trainees.

I enjoyed reading this book and I found that there was ...
This book is a tour-de-force and will be indispensable to the practicing neurologist, general internal medicine physician, neurology trainee, advance practice professional or medical student as well as the general reader interested in learning more about neurology and the neurosciences. It is - at its essence - an eminently practical book which combines readability with utility. Salardini's erudition is striking and he seems at ease in both general internal medicine and in neurology. I enjoyed reading this book and I found that there was a perfect level of detail contained within it and never so much that it become unwieldy. I plan to continue to use this book well in to the future and I look forward to the second edition.

Pleasantly surprised
I am often skeptical of textbooks to in general because, with the exception of Harrison's internal medicine, are stilted and dry. This is a very different kind of textbook: it is a case based 'socratic' book for grown ups. At under 1000 pages it some how packs in more information than the standard textbook but remains still readable. The best chapters seem to have been authored by the editors themselves. There are a fewChapters which are a bit dense like the infectious diseases and the oncology chapter butOverall I am enthused about getting into this book.My only real gripe is that the book is supposed to be on Access Medicine but it is not there. Otherwise this will go down along with Harrison's and Merino's the ICU book as one of the most useful books in medicine.
