You need a permanent marker to write on these. I tried several other pens and nothing would dry except a paper mate flair -- but required drying time. Ordered Zeyar Dual tip CD OHP markers from Amazon and perfection!!!The sticky notes are really pretty shades, and sheer enough to see through. I'm using them in my scriptures and the adhesive is light enough that I don't have to worry about damaging the page if I reposition my note. Now that I can write on them I'm going to go nuts papering all my books with colorful notes!!

The media could not be loaded.  Super impressed with these and they stick very well! Love them sharpie felt tip markers work best or ball point pens..

Really like these. They're not transparent tape that has a light tint. They are colored sticky notes that you can easily see through to what's underneath. They feel like a very thin plastic, so while writing on them is easy, it's not like writing on regular paper. I use them a lot in my planner, for information that might or will change so I don't have to cross out or white what I've written (don't like using pencil in my planners). Truly like these!

I can’t tell you how much I LOVE these post its! They’re perfect for notating in a book because you can see through them. I originally got the clear ones, but the colorful ones are better! They could be a little bit more sticky, but still love them!

The colors are nice but three of the pads were sticky on both sides. Probably won't order again.

These transparent sticky notes are great. They are roughly 3 inches x 3 inches are the colours are slightly different from what you see pictured. The most accurate product photo is the only with the blue background all these colours are exactly those colours.These are definitely a great deal cause you get 10 different colours for around $12 - $15.To write on them I recommend using some sort of permanent fine tip marker with allowing a dry time of 30 seconds or so else you will find them smudging.10/10 would recommend

These are amazing for book annotation, note taking, and manuscript editing. Great colors, pens glide so smoothly across these sticky notes. No complaints!
