A++ In my book!
I had no dislikes. I don't normally wright a review unless I have a very good experience or very bad. I bought this carborator for a 98 400 4x4 Arctic cat manual that I had been having fuel problems with for a while. I was very sceptical after reading some reviews, but it couldn't have worked any better!! Yes, I had to drill out the throttle cable port a little bit. Didn't take me a minute, everything else fit as it should. No adjustment needed at all, fired right up and idled perfectly, no dead spots through the rpm range. Yes it's possible you got a bad one( I've been there) but my experience with this one, could not have been better and definitely does deserve a good review. If you don't want to take the time to drill a hole out, you can always go oem and pay 600 to 800 dollar's. You have that option, A+ is my rating!

Not a suitable replacement for the original
I have a 1999 Arctic Cat 500 4x4 - Original Mikuni Carb was leaking, so took the shot on a new carb instead of rebuilding the old one. Huge mistake - after days of trying to get this carbs to work, I went back to the old one (after a rebuild) and it ran perfectly. After dozens of adjustments and tweaks trying to give this carb a fair shake, there is no configuration I found which allowed it to run well. I WAS able to get it to idle, but that was about all this carb is capable of.1. The original main jets are 145, the main jet in this carb are 180 - a huge jump. Tried swapping the 135 jet into this carb, but it ran worse.2. You need to drill out the throttle hole to get the throttle cable "tube" to sit in the carburetor properly. This is exceptionally annoying, since after this point, you've already modified it and can't return it.3. Fuel feed is on the opposite side and requires a new line.Buy a rebuild kit for your original carb...

modification needed
The throttle hook up was not correct. I had to modify. Just spent a lot of time to make it work.

2000 Arctic Cat 300 4x4
The media could not be loaded. BUY THE ONE WITH THE THROTTLE CABLE! I did and the installation was a breeze! This DOES come with 180 jet installed AND 145 jet included. I changed to the factory 145 pre installation and it fired right up.
