If you collect or sell charms you want this book.
I sell online, mostly jewelry and I sell a lot of charms. I had always wondered if what I had was older, and who manufactured them. The book was referred to me by an accomplished professional that highly recommended it. Best money ever spent. The photo's are fantastic, the information is fantastic and it even has amounts for what some are worth. I feel good about the knowledge I will have now going forward.

The Best Written Book for Charm Collectors and Sellers
I have every book there is on collecting charms and charm bracelets. This book is the best written, contains the best history, best advertisements, etc. The book has over 300 color pictures of charms, bracelets and advertisements. Unlike other books, this one gives equal time to both gold and silver charms and bracelets. You get a wonderful history of charms, charm bracelets and how they are made - decade by decade. What really sold me on this lovely book is the fact that it has lots of additional information. There is an appendix explaining metal markings and one showing pictures of actual metal markings with explanations. You also get a nice glossary of frequently used terms, a bibliography, and a wonderful index. If you want to know the history of charms and charm bracelets, their metal markings, and you can only get one book - get this one. This is great for collectors and for people who actually sell charms and bracelets. The author has done an outstanding job of compiling a lot of useful information and photographs in a wonderful, easy to read guide to the world of charms and charm bracelets.

Highly recommended for Casual Collector &Professional
I am a vintage jewelry dealer, collector and designer and I absolutely love this book! All the photographs are of highest quality and the information contained in the text is spot on. There are charms that are incredibly rare but a joy to see and there are ones that a collector can see on a daily basis if they look to a site like Ruby Lane. My only gripe is that there has never been a Volume 2 as there are so many more charms out there to showcase.

GORGEOUS SELECTION OF CHARMS
This is (pun intended) a charming book. It is NOT a complete guide or view of the wider range of charms. But this is a must-see for charm lovers. Enjoy!

Great Reference Book - Excellent Info & Lots of Pictures
This was exactly what I was looking for. Absolutely a great reference with easy to follow history, pictures and other collector data. I liked the way it was organized & have found it easy to add a couple of tabs to get to the sections I find most important. There was info & pictures on how to detect vintage versus reproductions - even when same mold is used. Thoroughly enjoyable & useful.

Very informative book.
Very well written. A lot of important info if you are a collector. The colored pictured pages are so informative. Ms. Schwartz did an excellent job on her research. It will be my "Charm Bible"

I have read every page in this book so many times! I have researched the cost and prices of rare and hard to find charms just by using this book. It's full of great illustrations and the photos have shown me that I not only own some of the best ones but also shows me which ones to look for. This book is highly recommended by me for all "charmers".
