Didn't fit not even close ! Says fits most I have 3 different weed trimmers Ryobi, Craftsman & Stihl didn't fit any of them.

I have a 42cc weed trimmer and I attached this with .155 line to combat black berry's in my back yard. Well, the minute it hit them, it would stop spinning. Might be because of the way it was attached, though it appeared straight forward. This doesn't come with any instructions or nuts /bolts, just a washer. The threaded cap also flew off. I will remove and try to reattach, but so far no good

I like line last much longer and time saving

This trimmer head appears well-made. But, no mounting nuts are included. Which means if your trimmer does not include a separate (loose, not captured or built into the OEM head) you'll need to find one before the product can be used. And the necessary nut will be metric AND reverse-threaded. The OEM head of my Makita trimmer has a captured mounting nut that is not removable. I tried tracking one down at two local hardware stores an no one has it. So I'm returning the trimmer head. The seller asked me to keep it and offered a 20% refund, which I declined. There's no manufacturing defect, but the head cannot be used without the necessary nut, so it is going back for a full refund.

Minimal installation parts and does NOT fit Stihl FS40 trimmer. Ad leads you to believe it fits all trimmers.
