Very cool
The media could not be loaded. This one has been on my wish list for a while, and I was pleasantly surprised. Two things to say about this kit. Yes, it is kind of fragile. I had a few pieces break, but the only one that didn't have a back up was easy to glue back together. Also, it was kind of an easy build. I applied wood stain, and even waiting for that to dry, it took about two days to complete this. It probably helped that pretty much every exterior piece is easily distinguishable, so it was easy to figure out what needed to be stained from the get-go.The mechanics in this are very simple, believe it or not. If you wax and grease properly, that is probably the easiest part of the assembly. There are a couple of steps in the assembly where you have to get about a dozen different holes and pegs to line up, and that could pose a challenge for novice modelers. On one step, I had to use tape to ensure that a piece didn't keep flopping around while I was trying to line up everything else, but that's just a process that once you get down, it's second nature.I think the most difficult part of this build was assembling the little chairs. It was tedious. I used glue. I can't believe that not a single chair part broke. They do provide extra arms.I actually used quite a bit of glue on this one. I think the most crucial part is that the to was very wobbly and lopsided until I anchored one of the pieces that help stabilize it with a bunch of glue. The end product is still a little wobbly, and after assembling it once, I'm pretty certain that if I assembled this one again, it would not be wobbly due to me understanding which parts need to be anchored with glue.I did purchase this at a steeply discounted price. This is one I would have paid full price for, too. This was my sixth Rokr/Robotime/Rowood model kit. So far, three have been awesome including this one. Three have been "not awesome".I will come back to attach a video as soon as I'm done uploading it from my phone. It's taking a while for some reason. I think my biggest complaint with this is given that it's kind of a thrill ride (based on how fast it goes), one would think that it would have some AC/DC or Metallica as the theme music.

Great Kit!
This is a very well-designed and produced kit. All the parts fit without glue and the finished item is fairly sturdy. The directions are good; not great. Follow them in the given order. Many parts are very small and this kit is not for beginners. The 289 parts may only seem like 1,000 by the time you are done. Your greatest assets are patience, care and the point of a #11 blade Xacto knife. It is best to cut the parts out from the back side of the plywood sheets. Less damage. More control. The directions say to lube some of the parts with the included grease. I am a little leery of grease on wood and so avoided this step. The device works well without the lube. There are negatives: The music box is very amateur. The ride spins too fast. Some reviewers are much more experienced and speedy than I am in describing assembly time as 2 hours. I would plan on 20 hours, plus. Buy it. You will likely love it!

Not the static wood model we had when I was a kid
Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review.I remember going to science museums as a kid and seeing wooden models with pieces cut by laser in the gift shops. They were super cool, but static. The dinosaur you built in the kit I had was static, very cool but not very dynamic. But this kit takes things to a whole new level. These model kits involve pieces that have been cut from a single sheet of wood and are flat packed, similar to plastic model kits but all of the pieces are flat. Usually they are laser cut giving very clean pieces of wood that can be snapped out of the sheets of wood, but having lights and motion is just not something we saw in the eariler kits. This kit includes lights and moves. Because it moves, once fully assembled, the swings move out and around and the lights give the model a more carnival feel. Assembly is straight forward (like all of these are). You do need to be careful when snapping out the pieces to avoid snapping or splintering the wood in the pieces, but that isn't a major issue. For pieces that are fixed in place, glue can be used if you want this to remain a model. Leave out the glue if you want to build it and then take it apart. Because these are wood, there is a limit to the number of times you can reassemble it. Which probably is why we often use glue when assembling them, since taking them back apart was a rarity in my home.As a gift this is quite a nice set. Novel, nicely packaged in a box about the size of a regular puzzle. It presents as a nice kit with a bit of substance. Typically these models are just a stack of shrink wrapped sheets of wood, but this one actually comes in a nice box. Likely this is because of the added complexity we see in this model.Overall this is a good one, totally fun, exciting in its novelty, and worth the price. It seems very reasonable to me, especially given how expensive these wood kits were when I was a kid. I do recommend that parents work with younger children to build these, but that is always why I bought my kids puzzles and models as it is a great excuse to get to interact with my kids in different ways.

beautiful creation
This is the fourth one one of these wood puzzles I have purchased. I love them. They are delicate, they are not easy to build but with a gentle touch and some patience you get something very special. This one has a music box . My 10 year old grandson has built a pistol that works nicely . He tells me his fingers get a bit sore since the pieces fit tightly but it makes for a very sturdy build. Not for everyone but for someone who really loves building models these are perfect.

It is a great product for creative people
The media could not be loaded. The company with this product has very good customer service. I had a few broken pieces and asked their help to send me replacement pieces. They did send it to me in two weeks. I appreciated that very much.Overall, it is a good product and I will purchase other item from this company.
