Good effective varnish, very Matt

AK Interactive Ultra Matt Varnish is widely considered a "holy grail" product for finishing Warhammer miniatures because it provides a truly dead-flat finish that is nearly impossible to find with other brands. When you spend hours layering and glazing to get the perfect transition, the last thing you want is a satin or semi-gloss sheen catching the light and ruining the scale effect. This varnish completely kills any unwanted reflections, giving your models a professional, museum-quality appearance that makes colors look deep and saturated. This stuff is really nice to use through the airbrush and gives a true Matt finish. Can’t fault it.

Great matte finish - goes through the airbrush very nicely and quick to dry. I'm very pleased with the results and would recommend it.

I used this in an airbrush to help protect my models from accidental chips and scratches that occur when handling, any one who uses acyrillics will know that when you handle a painted model little bits rub off on your fingers. This product stops that without leaving any shine or discoulation of the paints you have applied.

I'd bought this varnish as a model I'd coloured with acrylic paint kept scratching at the lightest touch. After a couple of coats, the paint is sealed well and doesn't seem to mark at all. The varnish is pretty thin out of the bottle, so it works exceptionally well if you're planning to use it in an airbrush. I'll definitely purchase again when I need more.

I know this varnish is marketed for models but I tried it over an acrylic painting with fantastic results. I was nervous about trying it because of the time I put into the painting. I really wanted a matte finish so I tested a small area. NO STREAKS - NO HAZE!!! My colors stayed rich and true. I will never need a different matte varnish. It’s the best!!!!!

Tras aplicar una fina capa con aerógrafo desaparecieron todos los indeseados brillos que dejan algunas tintas. El acabado no puede ser mas mate. Pensárselo dos veces antes de aplicar a metalizados o partes que quieres q mantengan brillo. Lo hace desaparecer.

Hands down the best and most matte finish I've ever used on acrylic paint. In the past I've used Vallejo (Mecha Ultimate Matte), Reaper, Army Painter and other name brands. They all leaved either a satin type finish, required 2-3 coats of matte, required thinning, or required a gloss undercoat first. This AK product which I have used with an airbrush and a regular (synthetic and sable) brush, went on with no thinning, dried in under 2 minutes (a pretty thin coat) and gave the most matte finish I've ever seen. For reference, I put this product on mostly GW/P3/Army Painter/Vallejo/Reaper acrylic paint which is either a default matte or satin finish. The finish is strong, survived many people handling the mini, in awe of just how matte the finish is. I would even say, it is so matte, I may buy some satin and mix the 2 together just to have the smallest bit of shine. Don't go anywhere else, AK has the best out of the bottle paint and varnishes I've used for acrylic paint.
