Q: Is it good for privacy

Yes ! Although it is only 4 feet tall, it hides my generator in the garden perfectly.

Q: What's the lifespan of the bamboo?

They recommend using a water sealer on it when you get it to make it last longer. The thin ones have lasted me a few years. I hoping this thicker one last me 5 to 10 at least.

Q: Would this 6ft fence be stable if I tied it to a 4ft-high wooden balcony fence, or would it risk tipping over?

I would tie it in a few different spots with zip ties to be safe, but it's a solid fence so it should be fine that. If you're putting it on the balcony, keep in mind it's not really moisture proofed. I put it in my bathroom and some of the bamboo split or slightly warped, but it did still look really nice. I'd recommend using a waterproofing/weatherproofing spray and using insulating spray foam in the ends that are open and it should be just fine.

The Black Bamboo is a natural "black" color. Plain bamboo is a lighter color. We also recommend a sealer to keep the color, but as with all natural products, the color will fade over time.
