The New Manager's Survival Manual

I find that it gives good advice to people who would be clueless as to what a manager is all about. However, Being in the military and working in a couple management positions it has given me some good knowledge but lacing in the more detailed approach.

A great book for managers and leaders moving into new positions. Step by step approach to fast tracking onboarding the team to new ideas and discretionary effort

The content is good, the writing style made it difficult for me to take seriously.

Good book. Kind of an overkill for what it is, but definitely worth the read.

The narrative is too slow in development, this makes the reading a little dry and uninteresting. I had to put it down for awhile.

This book will come in handy. I plan on opening a craft business online so I will be using this a lot

Great book for new managers.

Although the format is a little cheesy (with the lessons presented as dialog between managers), the content, structure and organization of the book is great for new managers. The examples are fairly realistic, and the breakdown of basic skills is appropriate for those new to supervising workers.
