I have looked far and wide for bible story books for my children. It has been hard to find books that meet all my criteria- but these are it!!So many books have cartoonish illustrations, where patriarchs of our faith look & dress like the Flintstones. Or cucumbers, tomatoes & asparagus. In My Bible Friends the illustrations are simply wonderful! Realistic and tasteful!The books are Biblically accurate (a real treat, believe it or not, in Bible story books). At the same time they are accurate, they do a good job protecting young children's innocence. For instance, while Daniel is saved from the lions there is no mention of the fate of the scheming princess. This is tastefully handled again and again thru-out the books. Teaching children Bible stories without upsetting them with Old Testament bloodshed, gallows & adultery.I purchased the audio CDs to go with the books. While it was quite spendy, it is a wonderful investment that I consider well worth every dime! My children (3&5 yrs old) listen and look at the stories for hours on end! While this review is not for the audio, let me add that it is excellently done. Tasteful background sound effects & dramatization but never overdone. It buys me hours of time and the children LOVE listening to them.The books are high quality hardcovers.I'd like to add that these are about as non-denominational as you'll find. There's no underlying value system trying to be tucked in, either for good or bad (depending on one's personal "bent") but rather, simply, BIBLE stories.We LOVE the My Bible Friends and are so glad to have them!The books arrived quickly. They were well packaged. I would buy from this seller again.

These books are incredible! I received them as a gift when my daughter was born, they are wonderful stories, two stories per volume, illustrated with beautiful full two page paintings that appealed to my infants and toddlers, and even as they grew older and started to read. The type face is a little larger than regular books, making it easier for small children just learning to read. The text is printed in an area about 3x5 inches on a single page, leaving a lot of room for the child to observe the detail of the paintings. I also found a second set, volumes 5-10, which I ordered and just received from another seller! It is an awesome set of Bible stories that will encourage your child's love of Christ and other Bible stories.

New books, with heavy paper and durable binding. But best of all, the artwork is amazing. Captures both children and adults in making these great Bible stories come alive. If you have children or grandchildren in your home, you need these books!

These books have the best art and beautiful writing of any Bible based stories! My children, grands and friends have loved them. I give them as gifts to special friends.

I grew up on these books, raised my boys on them, and when we finally got a grandchild, I knew she MUST have them too!!! They are beautifully written and illustrated and just right for young children...well...I am 63 and STILL enjoying them to be honest! Don't hesitate!!! Nobody has ever done it better!!!

Brand new set, each book came individually sealed. I was expecting the pages to have aged a little bit since this set was first published in the 70’s. However, the cover and the pages were still thick and crisp as it was actually reprinted in 2013. It’s hard to find good and new copies of this book set nowadays, so I was definitely excited to see this being sold here. Delivery was quick and smooth too, no issues with the seller. These books were a big part of my childhood and I can’t wait to read them to my future kids.
