Solid android wearable pedometer
Since opening the box ,I have been very satisfied with my purchase of the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro. The product has a quick charge and was simple to navigate when connecting to my android phone. I currently have an LG G3 that is on its last legs of life, but the use of the Samsung Gear app in combination with setup of the device on my non-Samsung android phone was simple. While the use and set up was one of the most important pieces to me, the look and feel of the product is also very solid. I've never owned as capable of a wrist wearable device as my last Fitbit Charge HR wasn't intended to have such a robust display and capability. The screen on the Fit2 Pro is vibrant and easy to manipulate via the touch screen scroll. The 2 buttons on the side for navigating and activating the device are intuitive and make use of the product effortless. I've been very impressed with the overall use of the product from the initial setup. I have read other reviews speaking about the negatives of using the Samsung store for obtaining additional applications, but this isn't a feature of the device that I intend to use.As I mentioned, I consider myself a minimalist user, and I thought that the Fit2 Pro did a great job of offering me simple and convenient options to ensure that I am able to customize the amount of notifications received on the device. I mostly wanted this product as a means of tracking my personal daily fitness, steps around the office, errands and picking up after my kid around the house, and the last thing I need is further notifications attracting my attention all day long when I need to focus on productivity. I can't count on the battery life of my LG phone, so having this wearable with long lasting battery life (3-4 days per charge) that can minimize notifications from my phone is what made me pick the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro. Having it connected to Bluetooth on my phone drains the battery less than I originally anticipated, which is a big plus. The water resistance also makes it so I don't have to take my Fit2 Pro on and off every time I'm doing something near water, which is a lot more often than I'd originally thought. My dog needs to go for a walk, and that means rain, snow, or shine. Having a toddler running around means I'm doing dishes, washing hands and faces, giving baths, and I can do them all without a second thought that I'm going to fry the device. This is a real convenience for me.In sum, I've been pleased with all of the features that the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro has to offer. I'm relatively new to android wearables and this product was within my price range and has been very easy to use. The device looks great, has a vibrant screen, yet is subtle enough not to leave me thinking about the thing on my wrist all day. The long-lasting battery, pedometer, and water-resistance are the features I value the most. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Great but basic
This has been a great fitness band for my runs. I've used it for 5 years and it's held up well. It's pretty basic I got it because I can load music on it and all I need is ear buds. Location takes a while to locate, pretty accurate after that. Heart rate monitor is not so good, it seems to stick on the first rate that it reads and the blue tooth disconnects a lot. After 5 years the battery is not holding a charge anymore, it drops 4% as soon as I take it off the charger.

Not sure why all the bad reviews, maybe I'm lucky?
Been using about three weeks now, so here are my impressions.Battery life: expect it to last one day which it will easily even if you're fiddling with it way more than usual. It has Bluetooth and wireless (WiFi) radios, tracks your pulse and records your movements all day with a full color screen. And fits on your wrist easily. It's not reasonable to expect it to last a week. Put it up to charge when you go to bed.Health tracker interoperability: compatible with tons of services, and the services often link to each other so even if your favorite service isn't directly supported, you can still probably make it work.Bluetooth: bad! If your headphones aren't awesome the signal probably won't make it through your body. I could make it work by wearing the watch on the side that had the headphone BT receiver, but it was easier to just use my phone. BT connections to the phone to sync data seem to work just fine.Watch functions: love 'em! The watch doesn't beep (no speaker) but it vibrates which surprisingly works better. It'll buzz you when the countdown timer is up (great for cooking) and you can set what days a recurring alarm goes off (work reminders don't fire on weekends).Smartwatch functionality: pretty good. It will swiftly show incoming emails and SMS texts, though for me the options to archive / delete etc. don't do anything, it just says to check the phone which also doesn't do anything. I haven't tried placing calls with it or anything fancy. The phone's in my pocket!Overall I haven't had any serious trouble with it since I got it and it's an important part of my health / weightloss plan, so I'm watching it constantly. Biggest problem I've had was that for almost one day it wouldn't upload my exercise data to MFP. I eventually stopped fighting the watch and restarted my phone, which fixed it immediately. Hard to blame the watch for that one.
