I cannot say enough good things about this product. I wish there was a way to give it more than 5 stars to fully emphasize how much I love it. I work on a horse farm and have a few horses of my own. My nails have also been incredibly thin and easy to end of break. Because of this I have always had uneven and short nails as they were constantly breaking no matter what I did. I tried the semi-cured stickers and press-on's but those never seemed to last. They would work for a week or so before they started lifting and fell off. This stuff lasts me over 3 weeks and it finally redo the nails, not because the builder get is falling off but because I have to fill in the regrowth at my nail beds! I will say the "soak off" feature is not quick and fool proof. I have read a lot of advice pages and watched a lot of videos before trying this. I file off as much of the builder gel until I think I am pretty close to my natural nail. Then I soak it for a while, generally 10+ minutes. It does not completely scrap right off after that and if I am not careful it will pull up some of my nail if I try to force it to scrape off. One of the best things you can do is watch lots of videos on technique of the application. I found lots of videos that explained how to get the proper shape/apex and smooth finish rather than the wavy finish you get if it is not laid smooth. The first time or two was a learning curve for sure. I had to remind myself that I am not "on the clock" it does not cure until you use the UV light so if it needs adjusted before that, do it! It is extremely easy to use and finishes very nicely once you get the hand of it! First I buff my nails and use nail polish remover or isopropyl alcohol to dehydrate the nails. Then I used the base coat and cure it. Then add a "slip" layer of the builder gel. DO NOT CURE. before curing that, add a bead of builder gel, starting at the cuticle and pulling it out in a semi circle towards the end of your nail. I hold my nail upside down to allow it to level. If you need it to move one way or the other, just hold you nail one way or the other and let gravity do the work! After that I cure it for 60-90 seconds. I read that one way to reduce lifting of the builder gel is to file at an angle under the builder gel to file the natural nail. I do that and then if i need to I use nail polish remover to get any dust off the stickiness of the builder gel. I also read somewhere that it can be recommended to use the same brand gel color as the brand if the base coat, builder gel, and top coat. I ordered a pack of a few different beetles gel polish colors and apply one of those next. I cure it. Then I apply top gel and cure that. I have been learning a lot and by no means am I a professional but I watched a lot of videos and read a lot of articles to get some of the techniques which really helped! The polish looks sturdy and shiny, I generally apply a color but the clear is also perfect for adding strength and shine to your nails!

I used this Beetles set for a full gel tip application, and it worked beautifully. My process: 1. Gel base 2. Gel nail glue 3. Apply gel tips (cure) 15 sec holding + 60 sec additional 4. Builder gel overlay 5. Top coat The builder gel levels nicely, adds strength, and gives a smooth, salon-style finish. No lifting, no bulkiness, and everything cured evenly. It’s easy to control and works great for reinforcing gel tips or shaping overlays. If you do gel extensions or builder overlays, this set is a great value and very beginner-friendly.

Perfect gel kit easy to use last forever. I like to stock up on it though because they always have it at a great price. I was a beginner when I started using this and it was really easy.

So I tried out this gel base coat, builder gel, and top coat nail polish combo, and I gotta say it's pretty legit. It lifted a little ay the cuticle so I took off one Star but maybe I can get it to work better with time. The base coat went on smooth and the builder gel gave my nails some serious strength without being too thick. The top coat sealed the deal with a glossy shine that lasted way longer than my usual polish. It has helped my nails grow out and not peel and bend at the ends when they get a little longer. Overall I'm impressed. There's no smell. And I think the quality is awesome. I just started doing my nails at home and so far I really trust the beetles brand and getting alot of supplies for a good price is what you need when just starting. The bottles haven't leaked I like the shape of the brushes and also I remove with acetone and just buff down some and soak off and I think it's easy to remove.

I had a gel top and base coat from a large gel nail kit that I got but the lids didn’t stay closed and leaked quite often. I bought this kit because it came with the top, base, and builder gel. The builder gel takes some learning to get it just right but the instructions are helpful. The thickness added to your nails really makes a difference on how long your gel lasts and it doesn’t chip as easily. I have brittle nails so I love having thicker nails with the builder. It helps them grow out nicer. There is minimal smell to any of the product. The base coat is a little sticky which is usual for a base coat. The top coat sometimes gets sticky but I just cure the nails for a longer time and then use rubbing alcohol to wipe them off and then wash my hands. I have used the base and top gel coats separately from the builder gel and they work great! I love how large the bottles are compared to my other gel kit. I definitely recommend this kit to anyone interested in builder gel or just want a better quality base and top gel coat.

This product has made doing my own nails much easier. The bottle is full sized and has a lot of product. There is very little smell when applying and curing the gel. The price point is fantastic as you get a lot for what you spend. The overlay does take some getting used to when applying. It is very thick, as it should be, and it takes a few applications to get the hang of the process. I have had very little lifting with this product. I honestly believe that this is salon quality. I will continue to use this brand and have purchased multiple products from them.

The base coat and both top coats (glossy and matte) go on smoothly and last really well, no chipping, even with all the cleaning and handwashing I do! The gloss finish looks professional. Just make sure you have a UV/LED lamp. Great value and quality. I’ll definitely buy again!
