Form-Fit-Function Replacement
I found an old Tyco Mini Typhoon hovercraft stashed in the basement. Its NiCad battery no longer held a charge. I bought this battery with the charger. (I bought the charger because a Web search indicated that one should not use a NiCad charger with NiMH batteries.)I charged the battery for approximately four hours. It dropped right into the hovercraft's battery holder. The connector was a little tighter than the OEM battery's, but it connected with no problems. The hovercraft is working well, now.I have no comment concerning longevity of the battery because I have had it for less than one full day. I don't remember how long the original NiCad battery lasted in use, so I cannot say for sure if the NiMH is better than the NiCad, but I suspect it is. I have played with my newly-discovered hovercraft on the kitchen floor a few times already and consider my battery purchase to have been a success.

Unsafe! Possible fire hazard!
We tried two of these, both of the chargers never turned off and continue to charge the battery after it is fully charged.If left long enough it will damage the battery and could start a fire. I must add the possibility of a fire is very low but not zero.The battery is fine, it is the charger that is defective and should be recalled and made unavailable for purchase.I did contact Tenergy support and they were very responsive. They said they would look into the issue with the supplier of the charger.

Expensive for the Quality
The battery cord does not plug all the way into the charger. Makes it tricky to charge battery.
