My son has severe learning issues and could not learn his alphabet despite every item we bought and every program we signed up for. His Speech Therapist mentioned this item, and WOW! He went from knowing his "A" and "B" (uppercase only), to knowing his entire alphabet; upper, lower, AND their sounds! If your child is struggling, buy these in their uppercase and lowercase options! I promise you will NOT regret it!Tip: Change the pattern daily. Set both designs side by side, and have your child find the upper and lower matching letters (don't tell them a letter to find, just let them do the entire alphabet in any order), and before they can pop them, have them tell you the name and sound(s) for the letter. I love using these with my grandsons. It's a great twist on other plain pop-its. Because some kids have difficulty differentiating b,d,p and q, I arranged all the letters in abc order and then used a black permanent marker to draw a line on the bottom of the frame of each pop-it. It is important to mark ALL the letters because then your child can correctly connect the cubes ( especially l,n,s,x, and z). (See photo above). You can use these for letter recognition, practicing CVC words or identifying beginning, middle, and ending sounds. There are so many options.

My students will love using this at a center. Just a heads up that the pieces slide together so you can make one continuous train. It does require some hand strength to disconnect them. Hoping the pieces will loosen up over time.

There is a version of this by a different brand, same pricing, and much better quality. Cheaply made for the price. Product arrived spilled in the package due to the thin plastic the product is packaged in.

I thought this would be great for the classroom. I had high hopes for it. I had to order two sets and piece it together to make a full alphabet. There were multiples of some letters and others were missing. It came in a broken bag inside the mailing bag. They pieces are also difficult to put together and take apart. Not great for the age of children that it would be appropriate for.
