Acer Aspire TC-1760 Desktop PC - (Intel Core i5-12400, 8GB, 2TB HDD, Wireless Keyboard and Mouse, Windows 11, Black)

Had this pc 11 months worse one I've bought in a long time.Slow not the word doesn't like doing more than one thing at a time plus don't like being rushed into opening folders, tabs pages ect.freezes up crashing when you just getting into a good swing of what your doing.Having to restart all the time as unable to carry on operating on the system.Alot of the time can't even tell it to restart as frozen.Reinstalled Windows about a dozen times in 11 months up graded ram and still the same.Waste of money never buying acer again. Had to buy another computer in the end.

I bought this i5 PC so I could move on from my i3, Windows 7, PC, that I’ve been using without issue at home for over 11 years.This PC is slower than that PC!The issue is the hard drive! It was constantly running at 100%.I would launch an app and wait and wait for it to appear. I spent hours on setup day tweaking the settings, trying to get Chrome to launch in under 15 seconds. I failed. Basically the PC was constantly downloading updates and it was prioritising that over anything i wanted it to do. And the hard drive was barely capable of managing that! After 5 cycles of updates I paused them so I could get a word in so to speak. It was still dog slow with nothing else going on and only 2 essential processes running.When I eventually had had enough. I set about resetting it to factory defaults. This process took the PC approximately 2 and a half hours to achieve! I could have reset 4 Windows 7 PCs in that time.I’ve worked in IT support my entire life. I’m 62 now and retired and I’ve never encountered a PC this slow in all that time.Oh, after spending some time Googling my issues with this setup. I called Acer support to discuss the issue with them. I wanted to ask them what they were thinking trying to run Windows 11 off a poor spec HDD. The chap I spoke to immediately suggested I return it and get a different PC. That was his 1st and only suggestion!Anyway it went back. I’m sticking with my old PC until my nerves recover! Then I’ll probably get a refurbed Windows 10 machine. Why windows 11 was launched is beyond me. It improves little and its performance is a backward step! Acer should have know that trying to run Windows 11 on anything but an SSD was a huge mistake!

I am going to give this a three to begin with - I might update it later.This product needs clear instructions to advise the buyer that a number of updates are required before it can start working properly, some of us are not savvy as others when it comes to computer. I was just about to send it back - disappointed, because there were issues with long wait time between typing response on document and internet sites. But it went through its updates over two days and now it works - thank goodness. So far so good. Glad I kept the computer to give it one last try after the updates because I was about to send it back.So when I first got it it was extremely slow. I would type I have to wait five or ten seconds before I see the letters begin to appear, and it is not my internet because my laptop- and ipad are working fine right next to it. The support appear to be non-existent a long time coming. I was so desperately disappointed.But now after going through the updates (which took a few days) it is working fine. I may have to update this review as I use it and get to understand it - but I am so glad it is working now!I hope I get to enjoy this computer. Looking forward to it and if I enjoy it I will update the review.

One of the best Computers that I have purchased, and it works well with W-11, cannot find any faults or problems with this unit, it's an excellent bit of kit.

From the outset, the PC was exceptionally slow. Launching applications was a test of patience, with even simple tasks like starting Chrome taking upwards of 15 seconds. I dedicated hours on the initial setup day, adjusting settings in an attempt to improve the speed, but to no avail.The PC seemed preoccupied with downloading updates, prioritizing them over any task I attempted to perform. The hard drive struggled to cope with this demand. After enduring five cycles of updates, I paused them to gain some semblance of control. Despite this, the PC's performance remained sluggish, with minimal processes running. Total waste of money

Warning do not buy, stopped working after 4 months and should have 12 months warranty, Amazon refused to replace it or give me a refund, total waste of money, total scam by Amazon, Amazon tech team don't have a clue, scam do not buy this from Amazon

Lovely computer only thing i Would have liked would be a CD/DVD draw but have an external one I can use well with it.

Worked fine for a couple of weeks. once I got it up and running, )despite the fact that it came without ANY user manual whatsoever! ) Its overall performance then started to become erratic and it finally gave up the ghost completely after just 25 days. As ! couldn't get it going again I sent it back to |Amazon! What a total waste of time and effort! Back to Curry's for me!
