Vulken Vibrating Foam Roller, 17" Extra Long Electric Muscle Roller

I have had the Vulken Vibrating Foam Roller for a few weeks now, and it is by far the best roller I have used. I use it before and after my intramural basketball and volleyball games, and It has helped me warm up so much better than when I was using my old regular one. I have always been very stiff, especially in the mornings, so I start each day by rolling out too. There are multiple settings for the vibration intensity, which is great because I prefer the lower intensity on my back, and the highest on my legs. The charge lasts a lot longer than I thought it would, which was a nice surprise, and it came with a nice carrying case which helps with transportation to and from the gym. From a cost standpoint, this is absolutely worth the money. There are a lot of very expensive rollers out there, but this one does the trick without breaking the bank too bad, which is perfect for a college student like me. Research has shown the benefits of using vibrating rollers, and if you are looking for a a roller that will really dig in and massage your muscles for a faster recovery, the Vulken roller is the way to go!

I am a practitioner of martial arts for 40 years and have had my fair share of physical therapy through the years. I have changed my training regiment to include myofascial release by rolling and have used the hyperice product in therapy. I believe everyone should incorporate heavy to medium band training and stretching especially as you get older. The Vulken is an excellent product although I will agree with some other reviews which point out that the hyperice is more powerful, that being said I would only use the hyperice at the 2nd level anyway. The Vulken offers 4 speeds one of which is the alternating one, my favorite. The Vulken also has the versatility of a larger size (17inches) that allows you to include more exercises in your program. I like to use the Vulcen to roll both calfs at the same time and can still use it to isolate one side. I have also seen reviews that state the Vulken is harder which is true however if the hyperice is a 5 out of 10 in stiffness the Vulken is a 6 to 7 not that much difference and for me an experienced roller not a big deal. I weigh 200lbs and actually like a little stronger feel. The charge lasts a long time so no complaints there as 4-5 sessions ( 15-20 min sessions ) before charge is needed easily lasts a week for me. If you need it softer you can always wrap a towel around it and hold it in place with some heavy rubber bands. That being said worth it to me especially at half the cost.

I really like this roller. I have bought 2 so that I couid have one at home and one at my parents’ house which I travel to frequently. Both have worked great and I have had both for over a year with no problems other than one of the lights went out that shows what vibration level I’m on, but that isn’t a big deal to me. The feature I LOVE is that there is a 10 minute timer built in which is the perfect amount of time to get a decent stretch in. When I commit to 10 minutes per day for at least 5 days in a row, I feel a huge difference in my body. I feel more relaxed and flexible. I feel like it improves my mood a bit too because my body feels good. It has gotten me into the habit of telling everyone I talk to about fitness “get into a daily stretching routine! You’ll notice a difference!” Ive used non-vibrating rollers and spiked rollers. Those are good too, but the vibrations with a timer has helped me stick to it and I feel I get better muscle relief from the vibrations. This is one of my favorite fitness products because I actually use it!!

After researching several units, I chose the Vulken. Thus far, I am absolutely pleased with it. Using the Vulken in combination with a traditional roller is making significant improvements in my mobility, flexibility and returning strength at my full range of motion. My full spine has taken a beating over the years. Sports, horse-back riding, building, etc., have adversly affected the common L4&5 and S1, all suffering herniations, degeneration - combined with stenosis. While the Vulken cant heal this, it is making a positive difference. To off-set any pressure discomfort (& it's not much) I switched to wearing sweats. This creates a softer contact and the results in my opinion, are better. My muscles have loosened considerably. Quiting excercise is not an option for me and I refuse to give up, even on the worse days. Using the Vulken will be part of my regular arsenal in staying active. The 4 star rating is based on just 2 weeks use.

I have owned this for 1-1/2 yrs now and am very happy with my choice. I bought this after my therapist used it for muscle pain and spasms in the backs of my legs. I found it very easy to use at home by laying it on the floor and rolling my legs over the top of it. I have also used it for lower back and neck pain. I like the option of 4 speeds since you don't want to use the highest intensity on your neck or if your muscles are very sore and sensitive. It is a very firm roller. You may want/need to place a towel over it to soften the it depending on your pain level. The battery holds a charge for long time. I am able to use it for multiple sessions before needing to charge it. Although I've never used it to the point where the battery has died. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase this again and highly recommend it.

I like this roller because its size is suitable for massaging a larger area. For example, it can cover all my lower back areas at one time. It is also comfortable for me to use it on my calf and my quadriceps after doing cardio. The 4-speed setting is good for not creating too strong stimulation for you in the beginning and provides you a chance to adjust according to your physical response. Although the strongest vibration level is not as strong as other brands with a higher price, I have a massage gun that allows me to focus on a certain area that really needs stronger vibration. This roller definitely supports me to relax for general use after doing cardio, doing sports, or before sleeping.

I've had this roller for two years and am furious that what could be a simple fix when it stopped working has been months of trying to track down a solution for. Roller was a solid 4 start purchase but then it just stopped working and wouldn't charge. Like most electronics after a while the batteries just give out, this is my assumption of what happened here. We tried looking online and contacting customer service to get information on replacing the battery and got no response. Paying this price for something to last only two years and then have to toss it into the landfill is inexcusable, and would be regardless of the price but I do expect more longevity from higher priced items. It would not be that complicated to just make it so that you can buy and replace the batteries. I have zero tolerance for companies that force excessive waste onto the consumer requiring them to rebuy a whole item every few years. Poor business ethics that I will not support. This is not the only Vulken item I've owned and unfortunately they've lost what would otherwise have been a customer for life. If you're the type of person that doesn't give a rats ass about the environmental impact of your decisions and is happy to shell out around $100 every two years on the same item then definitely go ahead and buy this, it is perfect for you.

The roller itself is made of very rigid foam. Unlike some other rollers I have tried in the past, it does not give or squish under my body weight. I have a back problem that causes my vertebrae to jut out and it is too hard for me. in fact, when I have used it on my back, I roll very gently and not for too long, as opposed to my other roller which I can use more easily. I assume that for people with normal backs it would feel pretty good, but it's a little too hard for a sensitive back. However, I have also been using it for my legs after running and that feels good. The roller has 4 settings, three with consistent vibration and one that oscillates. All four of them are very powerful. If you turn the roller on without holding it, it will start to sputter around on the floor.

No UK adapter included when this is shipped to the UK. Poor service for the price.

Just got this little gem in the mail a couple of day ago. Used it after a hard training session on the squash court and weight room as well as pre-warm up stretch before a match. The roller is on the hard end of rollers that I own and tried. It has 4 vibration setting to suit your comfort, soft, med, pulse strong and steady strong. To be honest I didn't know what to expect using the Vulken roller. I found that it was great to work out many of the kinks in the legs and breaking up the knots in my lower back. As a recovery tool, I have always used a foam roller, but the addition of vibration is kinda a game changer for me. It's super soothing for tired achy muscles and I did find that it helped to reduce soreness the following day. I don't know if it was because I stayed on the roller extra long to take in the massage, but none the less was effective. As a warm up tool I found the Vulken to aid in increasing circulation and movement in my legs and core area before stepping on court. I generally use the max setting and occasionally the pulsing setting as I find the first two settings not strong enough for me. It was a wonderful pre-game additional to my warm up routine. Its super relaxing just laying on it as it is able to message very specific areas of the body which a message chair can't. Its a little on the pricey side for a form roller but worth it for those who are serious about recovery and maintenance of their body it's a great little tool to have in your training arsenal.

Everything's fine apart from there's no adapter to fit the plug inside, which in the instructions it states it's included.

I love this roller. The 4 vibration settings are awesome because they really allow you to get to all the muscles and break up the fascia with out being too intense or not intense enough. The size is great, being big enough to roll my back or both legs at once. It’s not so big that it becomes awkward to maneuver or store. The battery charges quickly and lasts for a while between charges. The foam is solid with just enough give to it. I’ve found that this roller reduces my recovery time after long runs or intense workouts. I would totally get this as a gift for any other athlete in my life n

As an athlete, I'm all about recovery and am continually looking for new ways to achieve that goal. Foam rolling has already been a big part of my daily routine for a while now but Vulken's vibrating roller has definitely stepped up the effectiveness. In the past I've predominantly used foam rollers on my back because I've never found them to be very helpful on my calves until trying this one. The vibration definitely adds that missing component. This foam roller has a large diameter and is quite firm; both traits that I prefer as they add to the ease of use and effectiveness. Overall I am very pleased with this product and grateful that it came pre-charged so I could use it immediately.
