Great value
I’ve purchased a variety of different butanes (zippo, ronson, vector, etc) and this was my preferred choice. The quality of butane and the amount you’re getting is a great value because it lasts a long time ( at least for me it did ).Smells clean and whatever gunk that had been affecting/clogging my lighter prior was cleaned up and improved performance

The best value and quality
Butane works great in torch lighters for cigars. The 2 8oz cans are the most for the least cost.

Resurrected ! Brought The Dead (Lighters) Back To Life
This is the good stuff...2 big cans...from the XiKar folks that offer a lifetime guarantee/warranty on their products.Had several lighters stashed away because they became inconsistent and it was easier to put them in a drawer than take the time to perform surgery. I started out using good premium refined butane when the lighters were new but once or twice being caught without the good stuff, I refilled with some other butane. I'm entitled to a few mistakes I guess. This XiKar butane, along with a good practice of purging before refill and cleaning the externals, will not only keep your lighters working properly, but can also revive those pieces that you thought had expired. Some of the lighters I had put in a drawer were favorites but favorite or not...if they don't do their intended job, it's time to put em down.My procedure for putting new life back into the old lighters?Turn the refill adjustment valve to the lowest setting.Use canned air to "blow" out/clean the valve/s-top and bottom.Purge the refill valve on the bottom by paper clip or multi-tool until nothing escapes.Drain completely all inferior butane/air by holding the finger valve or adjustment knob open.Check again that the bottom valve is completely purged. Sometimes there are remaining pockets of air/butane. It may take several times to completely purge.Don't shake the XiKar before filling.Apply the refill tip to the fill valve and hold firmly seated for about an 8 count.Release and wait 3 seconds then refill again for about 3 or 4 seconds. Some lighters will "kick back" or spray around the valve when full. Either way, the 2 part 8 count then 3 count should do the trick. There will also be lighters that always spray back all the time when refilling. Just hold it firmly in position...the butane will find it's home. Fingers might get cold but the lighter is getting it's fuel. There are different size adapters for different valves but the standard filler on these cans work for every lighter I have...no matter the brand.Wait a while before trying to light to allow the cold butane to come to more room temp.Rotate the adjustment valve on the bottom of the lighter to about mid level. Light and check flame. Adjust to your preference. Many lighters have a sweet spot they operate and light more consistently. Find yours. You're done. Send me a well-kept Fuente Anejo for the tutorial...preferably in the Shark vitola.Always refill using the good stuff...highly refined premium butane and there is nothing any better than this XiKar brand available anywhere. It only takes one time with inferior butane to mess with the internals and very fine valves inside your lighter. Proper maintenance and refill procedure will keep your lighters healthy.Success ! Cigars for everybody !

So far so good!
Okay, I bought this because the reviews said how good it was. Also because I'm an idiot when it comes to refilling a lighter that uses butane.I had some lighters that were refillable before but being the adhd queen that I am, I either didn't read the instructions on how to refill them, or I read too fast and figured I'm such a genius that I'll skim instructions and be just fine.First of all, I never made sure to let out air/leftover butane. Secondly I didn't fill with the can of butane upside down w/the lighter under it.Couldn't get any butane into the lighters so I gave up and gave away the lighters and butane.Tried again after some research. Bought a bunch of clipper refillable lighters and this butane. Filled as instructed and whattya know? Filled 'em right up in no time and they all light beautifully.Bottom line: First time using this butane. It works great but not really sure if it's due to this particular brand of butane or my previous ignorance on how to use and fill a butane lighter.I'll update if have any issues when i try to refill my lighters. 😊

The best fuel -- in the worst can!
I decided to invest in the best butane fuel available, and I'm glad I did. The brands you find in smoke shops are overpriced, and full of impurities which clog the tiny passages inside torch lighters -- and I got tired of spending $20 or more for a new lighter every couple of months. (I also bought a couple of new torch lighters from Amazon, which are better quality and lower priced than those I've found locally -- see my other reviews). This Xikar claims it's essentially pure butane -- less than 30 ppm of impurities -- and I believe it: all my lighters, old and new, function much better now. (Of course I bleed the lighters each time before refilling them, and the old ones took a couple of refillings with Xikar to flush out impurities from the old fuel before their performance improved.) I took off one star because the can is slippery and the top does not fit securely, which sounds like a minor complaint except that upon taking one of the cans out of the package, it slipped from my hand, and when it hit the floor the top came off and the plastic refill tip broke off -- I'm waiting until I empty another can to see if I can pry the tip off of one and insert it into this one, and if I can't, that pretty much makes a pricey can of butane unusable. Why would Xikar go to the trouble of making premium fuel, shipping it across the pond -- and put it in such a cheap can?

Worth the $
I smoke on average 2 cigars a day. I use a triple flame torch so I burn thru Butane quickly. This has been a great quality product. I didn't mind paying a little more to get this quality. Worth it. And the can is a good size so it lasts a long time. I'll keep buying it.

Best butane on the market
I’ve bought detain in the past where the headpiece does not fit perfectly on any of my lighters and you have to use the little snap off pieces on the cap which don’t even work that well. I had peace on this thing works perfect on every lighter I have and I have the 2015 and 20 different butane lighters and not a single one of them doesn’t mess up on. By all means purchase this!
