I bought this for an outdoor gate that leads to a courtyard before getting to my front door. I chose this because of no batteries or electronics to warp in case of rain. The combo is easy to set and the door performs as expected. Drilling the extra holes was not hard with the template it comes with. You do have to lift up on the handle to lock it after putting in the code otherwise it stays unlocked. The reason for 3 stars is it does feel a little cheap. I feel like I can brake this door lock if I press down hard with it being locked. I don’t want to do that but I’m pretty confident with how it feels pressing lightly down that if I give it full force I’m gonna snap the handle or the inside components will break. Wouldn’t recommend as only security if this was on your front door.

I like these. Tried a few electrical versions and they always seem to develop faults. These seem reliable and solid. Just a few points to consider if you plan on buying one:1. They can not be easily fitted to doors that are pre-drilled for a handle and separate lock so best to use these on an undrilled door.2. The template for drilling the screw holes is really confusing and difficult to use. Measure twice before drilling!3. the combination is set manually by changing out little pins inside the lock assembly. So, to change to code requires that you sis-assemble the item which might be undesirable for some people.4. Combinations do not allow for the same number to be used twice. each number needs to be different (it can be set for 4, 5 or 6 numbers) Also, you can not set the order that the numbers can be pressed to open the door. If your code is 1-2-3-4, then any combination of those numbers will also open the door: like 3-4-1-2; 1-3-2-4 or any other combination.Overall it is a nice, sturdy door set and I'll be buying more.

Don't buy this product. The handle broke after only a few months and now I can't get back in to the house. I need to call a lock smith. The handle broke off completely. I never write reviews but I never seen such a poor quality of a device that should be solid for the safety of your home the front door.

No batteries required!! This lock is awesome!! No need to worry about removing battery every 6 months to replace , NO battery!! It does require a few drill holes in the door .

Keyless entry without batteries the only way to go. Always works rain or shine.

It works, but, the instructions are poorly written (probably an English translation of Chinese) and the template is difficult to use. Most problematic is that the 4 holes are difficult to line up for the interior and exterior plates, posts were bent when delivered and I had to bend them back by hand. Key advice, insert exterior plate and the number pad into door holes at the same time, then attach the interior plate leaving all 4 loosely attached THEN screw them all together...contrary to instructions.

This was the cheapest lock that I could find on Amazon so I didn't expect a whole lot. You should know that there is no sequence to the lock... So if you set a code it doesn't matter what order you put the code in as long as you mash all the buttons in the code the door will unlock... I thought the ad was kind of misleading... also it says that this is a left-handed door opening inwards only... which is something that I did not pay attention to when ordering... My door open outwards but I was able to take the latch apart flip around a piece and it works just fine opening hours.. I did speak with the seller via email and it was obvious that they do not speak English too well so don't expect much customer support although they seemed very nice and willing to help their communication skills are lacking a little overall for the price... I am pleased... but definitely not blown away
