DEFY Essential Exterior Wood Stain

We really liked this stain. We used it on our fences after pressure washing them and it really brings out the natural wood look. It is not too strong, where it covers up the beauty of the wood, and it looks like it's been protecting the fence as well. We used it with a spray gun, went on easily, and dried quickly.

Don’t yet know how this will perform in the long run, but I absolutely love it right now! It went on easily and provided the perfect coverage. I was worried it would be too orange (not sure why but I really hate the color orange right now), but it came out a gorgeous cedar color like the wood is new. Despite the sun bleaching. Would definitely buy again!

Used to stain my deck, matched The color of the original stain pretty well. Great easy to use product! Minus the actual act of staining my deck! It would be a painstaking task with any stain though!

Covered a old treated hand railing like a dream, seems to be fade resistant and after one year still looks great

Pictured are two diff projects with this stain. The deck fence has one coat, the bench runners have two coats. It's really easy to apply, easy to drip, easy to spill, it's just plain sloppy like water, but looks great. I've learned to put cardboard or a drop cloth down before using it. I have since made wooden window trim and used it with great results.

Save your money and buy your choice of alcohol (to drink) I am so disappointed with this there are no words but I will try. I necessarily refinish my deck every year and am qualified to do so but was disappointed with the life of the oil stain that I used. After looking at extensive reviews and assessments I fount that this was some of the highest rated sealant on the internet and hoped for the promised longevity found in the aforementioned enthusiasm. I prepped the deck with a deck wash and pressure washer then I used oxalic acid and pressure washed it again, at this point it was looking great I let the deck dry and followed all of the instructions as I have avoided this new acrylic technology. I put the sealant on in two coats in optimal weather as recommended and brushed it in. I used more sealant than advertised which is understandable as the deck is porous and aged (8 years). AT THE SAME TIME, I also used the same old OIL stain on adjasent part of the deck that needs color these products were used side by side. The deck has started to grey after about two months and there is no apparent water repentant left after about 2 weeks. - - - The old oil stain next to this product still looks as great as the day I put it on because of course! it has only been 3 months!

I finally got to stain my deck with this product after buying it last year. If it didn't come in a can I wouldn't use the product. But I tried this. My front porch looks great after one coat using a roller. It looks even better after the second coat covering all the seams using a brush. It is one of the best deck stains that I have ever used. It looks battleship gray when it dries. It is worth a try.

Work quickly and use a brush. The roller tends to leave bubble marks. It soaks in quickly, covers well, and deepens in color with the 2nd coat. Took about 48hrs for it to fully dry without a "tacky" feel. The light walnut has a dark red/brownish look when dry. Definitely added character to our new deck.
