Excellent product, great flavor, relatively mild compared to other red chili seasonings.

I found no problem with the quality. Strength and flavor as I expected. Amazing what a tad in the usual mac and cheese can zip things up.

I probably shouldn't be reviewing this product because I have never had Aleppo pepper before so don't know what it is "supposed" to taste like but, leaving aside whether it is an accurate representation of the Platonic Ideal of Aleppo, I bought it because recipe called for it and it worked well in the recipe. I liked the flavor and the heat level. The package seal was intact when it arrived, it appeared fresh and aromatic and I thought it was a good price.

Great spice! Absolutely love the flavor Aleppo pepper adds to a dish. And, yes, it's flavor, not so much heat. I like a good middle-of-the-road spice level, so maybe if you're more sensitive and find black pepper too spicy, maybe you won't enjoy this. But it has been an excellent addition to Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. It seems to be an excellent quality product. It comes in a cute, little glass jar, well sealed, preserving freshness and flavor. Reasonably priced, I would absolutely buy this product again, we'll see how quickly we go through it as we continue to explore Mediterranean recipes.

It is just as advertised. The bottle came filled to the top with vibrant red and burgundy flakes. The texture isn't dry or brittle like cayenne pepper. Instead, it has a slightly oily sheen. The flavor is a milder heat than cayenne pepper that builds up slowly in your mouth. I'm not an expert but it does smell fruiter. In my opinion, it has more of a hot paprika taste that dissipates, but leaves a pleasant note. I love its quality and I think its size is good value for your money. My daughter loved this chicken soup because it wasnt as hot as cayenne. I really recommend it 👌🏾

When I see "red chile seasoning flakes," I'm expecting some type of typical burn that most red pepper flakes have. These do not have that. The flakes are seasoned with oil and have a very light, soft texture. They have a rich, full bodied pepper flavor that is more along the lines in flavor of ground paprika, only in flakes vs powder. These flakes would make a great addition to soups , stews or curries, or to use as a garnish. The jar arrived well sealed and the pepper flakes inside were fresh.

Best Aleppo pepper I’ve bought…a staple for a bit of fruity spice, but this particular brand impressed me with its freshness. I’ve used it in chocolate ganache, Chardonnay cream reduction for pasta, and as a sprinkle on topping for bland looking food.

This is an alternative spice to the traditional red pepper flakes used in many dishes. If you think red pepper flakes are pretty much always too hot, then this is a good alternative. It has some heat, but much less than red pepper flakes. It also has a very slightly fruity aroma and flavor, probably because it comes from pepper bodies not the seeds. It is hard to explain, but it works very well in pretty much any dish in which you might have used red pepper flakes. It provides the flavor of red pepper with less heat so you can actually taste it. If traditional red pepper flakes are too much for you, this is your go-to replacement. I use it exclusively now.
