couldn't put this book down!
As a new food stylist looking to display propping skills for photo shoots, I turned to "Styling Beyond Instagram" for advice, resources, and inspiration. I honestly couldn't put this book down and read it in one weekend! Which is rare for me. I was hesitant to initially buy it as I thought the information could be found online, but you can't find this level of prop styling expertise on any website. It takes you from initial client call to logistical planning, prepping,/hard core sourcing, packing, transporting, the shoot itself, and finally break down and prop returns. It reads like an engaging behind the scenes / a day in the life of a prop stylist which is the part I loved the most about this book. Highly recommend for the content as well as the pretty photos!

Inspirational and practical!
A well written and beautifully visual book that explores the world of prop styling. It's easy to read, takes a step by step approach to the industry and is backed up with lots of well curated visual examples. For anyone interested in styling, whether as a career or for your own business purposes it has lots of great content and inspirational thoughts and ideas. Robin Zachary is very generous with sharing her experience and expertise, and her passion for her craft clearly comes through. I loved the book to help me think about how to create content for my own business. A great resource.

Beautiful and More Helpful Than Anything I've Seen Online
"Wow!" was my initial reaction when I opened the package, saw the cover, and picked up the book. I have quite a bit of photography books (the art ones not the guide or how-to ones) and Robin Zachary's Styling Beyond Instagram is up there with them in terms of quality. I initially purchased it to learn more about styling and I thought it would be casual reading over weekend or so, but it's serious informative material...that's beautifully and elegantly presented. This is a book that you're going to want to look at several times because of the information in the text but also the artistry in the images.
