Senior Snoops: An Agnes Barton Senior Sleuths Mystery

Loved it!
I have read the first two Agnes Barton books and was hoping the third would be as good. I was not disappointed. It was a fast paced, hilarious mystery. I love the fact that Ms. Johns has made Agnes and Eleanor lively seniors with a life left to live. I know many seniors and they are more like Agnes than your typical idea of someone's granny. This was an easy, quick read, but in no way was it boring or predictable. I am looking forward to more of Agnes and Eleanor soon, I hope.

Senior Snoops Are. hoot
These to senior snoops are characters, reminds me of the Golden Girls. This plot was a little less interesting than her previous books. still a good read. She makes the senior year’s look fun.

Not My Favorite Of The Series.
It could be that I read the series back to back but this one is to me the weakest of the series. The same grammar and voice issues found in the first two are still present. A more rigorous editing is in order. The concept is good and for the most part the plots are good. You can however by the third see the two main characters as Bea Arthur and Betty White with the Rue McClanahan character blended into both.Best way to describe this series is Scooby Do reincarnated as the Golden Girls. That is not necessarily bad as I enjoyed both. I have to applaud Ms. Johns for making her main characters more experienced (mature). When you have a few more miles on the chassis it is nice to see characters who embody the same traits. So not perfect but still entertaining.

When I saw another book by my new found author Ms Johns I was very happy to purchase it being familiar with the two senior det
I think the author has the most amazing sense of humor for this type of writing that I have come upon yet. The twists and turns in this book were well thought out I actually have a long time friend that "is" Eleanor to a tee. I relate to Agnes so for me this series is an adventure I can imagine doing. I could not put this book down. I recommend this book as a stand alone or as part of a series, which I intend to read all that is written . My copy was purchased from Amazon. You can buy yours there.

Senior Snoops Is A Fun Read
What these two women can't get into and the close calls they have is so entertaining. I understand the frustrations of the sheriff and the trooper but they do solve crimes and are really a big help in the investigations. The characters are fun and believable and I enjoy their antics. I would love to see more books in this series and I hope the author keeps writing books about seniors. The publisher should have done a better job with typos and left out words so don't let that distract from the story. I have enjoyed these books so much and I am going to order the entire set.

Aggie and El are at it again!
This third in the series was better than the other two combined. The Senior Snoops are getting to winter in Florida. Nice! If they thought it would all be beaches and tans, though, they got a rude awakening long before they got to their destination. So murder and mysteries abound. After the two previous books I feel I know Agnes and Eleanor as good friends. They have spunk and are active seniors. They are sexually active and enjoy the men in their lives with enthusiasm. And they are snoopy! They can get in more trouble than any twelve teens.I did enjoy this book. There are a few editing issues, but they don't get in the way of the story. I think my biggest gripe was the making Agnes become a sudden prude on nude beaches or in the strip club. I didn't see her that way before this book so the few remarks that made her that way stopped the story short for me. Still, I have the next set of books set up. I have a few other books I am supposed to be reading first, but I'll be happy to see what Madison Johns has these snoops up to next. These are great light reading for when you need a break from heavier literary pursuits.

The sequel to the sequel
Madison Johns has successfully continued to weave a web of intrigue, romance, danger, mystery and murder within an elder snowbird village. To keep the two seniors fresh as they gently age through the emerging series of Senior Sleuth stories, Johns introduces them to new settings and an addition cast of characters. The sheriff of the first two books fulfills his promise of giving the ladies an all expense paid winter trip to Florida, arranging room and board for them in his brother's town. His brother, coincidentally, is also a sheriff, but seems cut of a different cloth (to use one of Eleanor's expressions.) She and Agnes, her 'partner in crime-solving,' are a bit taken aback at the terms of their arrangements.Florida is not Lake Huron, and swimmers dress differently, when they dress. Scandalized but mesmerized by the differences, Aggie and El set out to solve one mystery, and then encounter another, and yet another, and still another. They are chased, seduced, shot at, robbed and at times infuriated by the people they encounter.Their paramours, Mr. Wilson and Andrew, are with them in Florida, and bring a level of confidence and peace with them. If you loved meeting all of these characters in Armed and Outrageous, and worried about and with them through Grannies, Guns and Ghosts, you will enjoy their adventures in Senior Snoops. They say three's the charm, but maybe we'll be lucky enough to see more stories featuring these intrepid old ladies.

Cute
The story and characters were cute and funny, but at times it was difficult to read because of the errors. There were misspellings, wrong words, wrong tense of a word, sometimes just plain missing words. I don't know if that was due to poor editing or proofreading, but it was really annoying. I probably won't buy another ebook by this author unless I can be sure this problem ha been fixed.

Another great senior romp
Yet again I have enjoyed Agnes and Eleanor's adventures, or should that be misadventures. This time the plot takes you away from Michigan and moves you to Florida. Where the girls get themselves involved in another case.I can't recommend these books enough. Great fun and I am already looking forward to the next one in the series.

Grannies Revisited
I don't enjoy this style of writing. Somehow it doesn't ring true. Too much giggling & chortling. The grannies are just too, too. Eileen Baker
