Aluminum Metal 1.25” Silver Rotating Flag Mounting Rings 1-1/4"

My original plastic mounting rings broke. They never worked very well in the first place. I ordered these to replace the old ones. There were very few options available for this particular flag pole because it's an odd 1.25" diameter pole.The item is very good quality, and to my delight worked almost perfectly except I noticed that a few times the flag would still wrap around in a good wind. I did three things which which have completely eliminated the flag wrapping issue.First, I loosened the flag a little so that the flag isn't taut between the two mounting rings.Second, I sprayed a little bit of WD-40 around the part of the ring that rotates. I also made sure the screw on the mounting rings pointed downward.Third, and most important I think, I added a small key chain type ring in between the clip that goes on the flag and the flag ring itself (see picture). Without the additional ring, the flag really doesn't rotate well because the flag isn't dropping straight off the pole--it's kind of twisted at an odd angle. I haven't had the wrapping problem since. I don't know why the flag people don't include an additional piece to allow the flag to drop vertically from the pole instead of at an odd angle.

Got these to replace the plastic ones that came with my flag poles which were plastic and lasted a week on the back of my truck,have these on the same pole hanging on the house they got some weight to them,very easy to install and using pliers to tighten more only thing that sucks is the flag still gets wrapped around the pole

Lasted just over 3 years, only the last year in a somewhat windy location.

A great product for repairing those Costco flag poles which are a little larger then most. These are all metal and if you spray a little lube on them now and then, they will work perfect and last for years.

great replacement for plastic rings on flag pole purchased at Costco. The shackles are not stainless steel and although zinc plated will rust, especially if exposed to salt air. Would like to have stainless steed shackles as an option, if not on original purchase. Also, the screws are too long, will fray on the flag. Shorter would be better.

I have tried several flag pole mounts that did not work or were to small. This one was perfect and very sturdy. My flag flies 24/7 and the ones I have used and the ones I “rigged” did not perform as expected.

I occasionally ride with the Patriot Guard Riders who escort deceased veterans to their final resting place. I have these mounting rings mounted to a wooden dowel I use for my 3x5 American flag. They've held up so far at speeds up to 55 mph. Other guys ask me where I got them. They've all rigged up something to fly their flags.
