Bare Home Reversible Comforter (Twin/Twin XL, Grey/Light Grey)

I live in a trailer with poor insulation. The last 3 winters I kept the temperature at 50-55F (to save on electricity). I bought small sherpa blankets. However I have 3 cats, and the cardboard from the scratchers kept getting caught in the sherpa lining. I learned to buy only smooth material when choosing blankets. Four winters ago - trying to stay warm at night - I bought a sleeping bag with ?nylon? outside. It was lightweight and warm, but did not breathe. I would wake up wet from sweat. Next I bought a below zero rated sleeping bag that was cotton. I weighed 9lb and would breathe. If I kept it zipped up, it would take 10-15 min to warm up. When I woke up, again I was wet from sweat. If I opened the bag, then air circulated, but it became a blanket, not a bag. Since I am 6ft 2in, even an extra tall sleeping is a short blanket. If I pull it up to my chin, then cold air gets to my feet. This winter I tried this Comforter in King Size. I have used it for a week now. I love it and the 3 cats love it. For reasons I do not understand - the cats did not seem to like the sleeping bag. They kept trying to push it out of the way to find a spot to lay down. The day I took this out of the package, I noticed that within and hour, all 3 cats were sleeping on top of it. They love it, even when I am not under it ! ! ! At night, I use a large 5.6lb blanket, with this King Size Comforter on top (7.7lb). As soon as I lay down, all 3 cats come running to get a good spot. When I wake up in the morning, I am plenty warm, but not sweating at all. It is kind to hard to figure out why this comforter is so different from a below zero sleeping bag. The comforter is 7.7lb, and the sleeping bag is 9.1lb. Since they are similar in weight, you would think they would be similar in feel and warmth. However, the sleeping bag, though cotton, feels the same as canvas overalls from Carhart. Super tough, very heavy, and stiff (but warm). This comforter seems to be super soft, and very light, as if you covered by a layer of magic warmth that you can barely feel. When I wake up in the morning, I am not sweating at all. Since I got a king size, when I pull it to my chin, there is so much hanging past my feet, very little cold air gets to my feet. When I lay down, in 5min or so, the blankets warm up, and the cats come running. Then we all sleep like rocks. Even though it weights 7.7lb, and has the warmth of a winter blanket, it feels super light (as if it was only a 3 lb blanket). I don't understand it, but it sure feels nice on cold nights. I wish I had gotten this years ago. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR ANY ONE TRYING TO STAY WARM IN A COLD HOUSE ! ! !

I like this blanket. Washed and it had a few strings on it after washing but not bad. Put it in the dryer on low to fluff up. Overall I would buy it again. Next week cold weather hits and will know more re:warmth after that. I would consider this a medium thickness. Very soft. Fit was perfect for my split king.

Great quality. I was concerned with how small the box was when it arrived, and was not thrilled with the way it seemed thin once I removed it from the package. I washed and dried it right away and it came out fabulous! I was even pleasantly surprised that it has a little bit of weight to it, which will be amazing to sleep under. Not heavy by any means, but just enough for a great night’s rest. Don’t hesitate.

The Bare Home Duvet Insert Comforter Oversized King size has genuinely solved an ongoing frustration for us. Our king-size bed is exceptionally wide and most standard king comforters fall short, resulting in one of us being perpetually uncovered by morning. This comforter is absolutely perfect. It fits the bed flawlessly, draping beautifully over the sides with plenty of coverage. Beyond the dimensions, it is super comfortable, providing the ideal weight and softness for a great night's sleep. Thanks to the generous width, we both get ample blanket all night long, eliminating the "blanket tug-of-war." This comforter was well worth the money, as it has not only enhanced the look of our bed but, more importantly, solved a significant problem and ensured we both get a restful, comfortable night's sleep.

Warm and great size.

Buy this comforter! I've had my comfy comforter since the mid-90s abs have been trying to find something comparable for the last 10 years. I wanted something that was warm but but heavy; I wanted a softer material, not shiny slippery sweaty polyester. I've purchased freece blankets, cotton blankets, and even a feather duvet. None of them were what I was looking for- the feather duvet in king size was way too hot and way too heavy! This comforter is PERFECT! It's puffy, cozy, warm but not hot, it's really lightweight but still does a great job! This isn't a thin flimsy blanket. This is a nice comfy cozy comforter. I bought the king size- in super happy with it! My partner told me goodness like this is how babies get made lol Worth the money! Looks great! Soft material. Loops in case you want to put it in a duvet cover. 10/10! Ps. I live in Ottawa, ON, Canada. It's currently autumn.

Wow! I bought 2 of these conforters based on reviews . When I opened the first one I thought I had made a mistake. It was so thin. So I washed and dried it and it puffed up beautifully. I bought the light grey/dark grey and light blue/dark blue. They are both gorgeous colors. The material is very soft and warm. They are lightweight which I love.I have never bought a comforter online before. I am very pleased. I would recommend.
