Spoilers coming…..I enjoyed seeing Belle become more confident and brave during the story but her indecisiveness was frustrating as well. Her question to get answers was normal, but her internal comments and blind faith was admirable.Leo was perplexing. I don’t understand him becoming a guardian to a baby that was left on his doorstep unless it was his. Belle just accepts it without question. I mean what could she do but accept it if she wanted Leo but no story about that child.Nico and Luna were more distracting after a while. I know it’s because their story is in the future but it was getting old.Overall the story was good. I did find myself skimming because it was getting long winded. Enjoyed the dual POVs and I didn’t see any errors or misspelled words. Epilogue was a plus but even it was kinda cryptic.Spicy scenes had dirty talk but were scattered throughout the story.

I started this and could not put it down!! So good! Definitely recommend! Very spicy! Like a modern day beauty and the beast!

I liked Belle, I liked Leo (Beast), but this modern retelling of the Beauty and the Beast story. went to a whole nother dimension.. in my opinion...IT seemed like it followed the original made with a twist ..Sadly the book seemed to be several stories once it got going ...The first half is the beauty and the beast ... you know where father gets caught , daughter gives up life for fathers freedom ...... The second half is where we learn about the Blackwood family and the fact they are a mob type family ......Next a new character comes in to play, Ivy. The sister to the lead. Then we have the months where Belle is home while leo tries to help his father only to learn he is dying and wanted leo to somehow forgive and accept him........... and then find Ivy the sister wants to be in charge of the family......... Nico a dear childhood friend who is still in love with Luna is using belle against leo to get to luna.......It’s more or less poetic and filled with various unrequited love stories.and a LOAD of unanswered questions....The negative is spelling and editing needs some help

Wow, this retelling of Beauty and the Beast is truly amazing. I just can’t get over how this story just pulls you in and really shows you a world we’re the impossible can become possible. The emotions that comes with this story are a blessing. It shows the humanity and love the characters have for each other. I must say that I loved that both Belle and Leo found each other’s voices enticing before they laid eyes on each other. I also, love they fondness for knowing each other in a short time while discovering more as time moves forward. I also, loved how Leo’s dad wanted to gain his attention and forgiveness. But what truly had me going the the mystery of the famous west wing and Hazel. Her silence is striking but I am truly curious to what happened. Most of all I’m so looking forward to the next story in this series.I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy.

I downloaded this book on stuff your kindle day and let me say I was not disappointed. This non fantasy retelling of beauty and the beast had the right amount of spice, anguish, drama, and alpha male! The story flows well with no third act breakup (thank you!). This is a shorter story that’s perfect for a break in between series of moods. This is a retelling or sorts of Beauty and the Beast. We have Belle who will be kept in the castle for three months in exchange for her father. Belle and the Beast have an instant attraction going on and things heat up quickly. It is an interesting ride. This is a must read, I was kept on the edge of my seat waiting to find out what happens. This has wonderful characters and and twist on the other Beauty and the Beast, I think I like this one better. This is my first read by Aria and I am impressed with how well she adapted the fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast into a modern day mafia romance. I love how the story progressed and secrets were revealed slowly rather than all in your face at once...and if you love filthy talking, scarred heroes you are gonna love Leo. This story has it all - a beautiful young woman that is just as strong willed as she is full of love; a hero with a heart of gold, a dirty mouth, and a few secrets - the chemistry between these two are off the charts!! - and a plot that will take you thru some twists and turn but have you smiling by the end. This is on the lighter side of what I usually read, but I definitely enjoyed it none the less.

Really excellent book.A modern retelling of beauty and the beast, although from what I can tell, far from being ugly, all the "beast" had was a large port wine birth mark on his face, even though he's described as being hideous and terrifying to look at, so that's not really ideal...A really good read, that kept me hooked and always wanting to read "just one more chapter".A few interesting twists and turns along the way, some really interesting characters and sub plots, some of which were left dangling, hopefully to be explored in later books, although the main story is wrapped up nicely.Some very well written steamy scenes, but they fit well with the story rather than the story being written around sex - it wasn't just smut for the sake of having it, it was smut, but smut that enhanced the story (it is an erotic romance after all).Very well written, I can't think of any typos off the top of my head although it's been a few days since I finished the book, so there may well have been a couple, but there definitely wasn't an abundance of them because that I would have remembered!I would definitely recommend this book, and I've already downloaded the next in the series but there's a few (dozen) books ahead of It in my tbr pile yet, but I can't wait to read all about lunas story and find out what went so wrong for them!

I really don’t know whether I liked this book or not, it’s one that I had to work to get into, but it kept me interested to finish it to find out how it ended. I didn’t really click with it, I don’t know why. The storyline was good, it had plenty of mystery. I think I found it hard to relate to the characters, I don’t know 🤷‍♀️. But I’m sure others out there will enjoy it. It is riddled with emotional baggage, but that only adds to the mystery. I don't know where to start with this review, but all I know is this book had me captivated (or rather Leo kept me captivated), but this book was a long emotionally journey for our heroine Belle.Told by a mysterious woman that her life is about to change, it comes as a shock when Belle discovers her father is being kept by a 'beast' for stealing. What starts is a classic beauty in the beast tale, but in the second half of the book it truly turns into a mafia book.We have plenty of side characters with stories to come. When Belle's father is caught stealing from Leo, Belle offers to take his place to serve Leo for a period of time Feelings develop just like in the fairy tale with the addition of connection to the mafia thrown in to add to the entertainment.
