Evolution

Evolution is the most extraordinary story to know and share. This book shows the patterns and processes of life on the planet, clearly explaining the biological and environmental mechanisms that have shaped the diversity of our biosphere. As in previous editions, Douglas Futuyma is quite didactic, this time accompanied by Mark Kirkpatrick. Another excellent companion book is Herron and Freeman's Evolutionary Analysis (fifth edition, Pearson). Now that Sinauer has been swallowed up by Oxford, let's hope he goes ahead with his excellent academic proposals.

Smells good. Nice glossy paper. Flawless grammar. .But, I mean, how blind do you have to be?

It's getting me through my Evolution class without having to spend over $100.00 to purchase the book. Book that I rented came in really good condition.

The book was what was need but the instructor changed books due to on line teaching (university)

This book is ridiculous. I felt as if the author was talking to a one year-old kid not an adult. They also keep relating to religion every now and then. Graphs and pictures aren't clearly explained too. I hated this book so much that I ran to the store after the last day of class to return it to Amazon because I felt it was a curse.Disgusting book.

Un clásico para cualquiera que quiera comenzar a estudiar cómo ha ocurrido y porqué la evolución biológica. Muy recomendable.

J'ai simplement feuilleté le livre.Il traite du pourquoi l'évolution a donné ça ou ça, avec de beaux graphique, belle photo.Après avoir lu Poussière de vie de Christian de Duve, je cherchais un livre avec images, dessin de l'évolution depuisles premières cellules jusqu'à nous, mais ce n'est pas ce livre, donc je cherche encore.Mais je ne regrette pas d'avoir ce livre, surement beaucoup de bon moment à lire en anglais, oups.
