Heartbreaking yet wholesome
This story is a love story / an ode to good friendships and steady interpersonal relationships. This story is about a young boy, experiencing the loss of his father.Woodson packs so much emotion in such a short time (aka 167!! pages), while also shedding light on CTE and the lives of the players’ families.10/10 recommend for a quick solid read.

Very Touching
I was so moved by this story. Watching someone that you love deal with a brain injury is so difficult. It was really interesting to read about it from a child’s perspective. The brotherhood of The Fantastic Four was so beautiful. We all need friends that understand the importance of just being present.

NFL Father's Memories going from the eyes of a Child
In this age of brain damaged football players, dementia, and Alzheimer's with NO CURE in sight, this is a bittersweet story about a child's life in a loving family with an active father who is recently out from playing football because of migraines. It's a book for people of all ages to read and maybe even scientists who might be pushed to find a way for NFL players to survive after the game. Little by little the hints are given and by the end, you might ask yourself if certain sports and unchecked head injuries from falls, hits, and accidents are important enough to check immediately and then for hard decisions to be made. This will perhaps change your life.

A pro football player’s real success is his family
A pro football player’s real achieves success —on the field and especially as a dad. Woodson creates memorable characters that readers will care deeply about. As they face the heart-breaking reality that football fame, once the distant dream becomes the great destroyer. I loved this book; it made me laugh, cry, and ponder the deep truths about what it is to be family and to be lucky enough to have friends that stand with you to share the good times and help shoulder the hard times

Poignant read
Like the style and the message. It does not play down the seriousness of the condition which plagues many football players and it shows how it affects the family while still evoking love and compassion.
