Best stout leather boot for the money.
£175 for a pair of boots this quality? Stop reading this and buy them!!Top quality German 3-4 season boots, tough leather upper (says nubuck but not soft, will need short break in period), lush leather lining although not padded in toe area, perfect mountain Vibram sole and top it all off DOUBLE STICHED!! (mmmmmmm Norwegian welted)Slightly too many seams to be a real mountain boot and comes slightly lighter than photos, fit true to size. Surprisingly light for what they are, prob about 800g range.My only down point (and it's minor) is the toe shape from top is a bit odd, nothing to worry about. Bought a pair of Hanwag boots (more expensive for about the same, better leather lining) but have put these in the spares rack due to 'construction boot' shape toe (shallow and vain, me?!). I feel the German's are a little more 'practical' with their style unlike the Italians.Happy hiking!

Worth the money.
Excellent build quality.Go a half size up on your shoe size, (same fit as Lowa/Hanwag).Delivered quickly from Germany. Stiff upper and semi stiff sole, comfortable but short break in period.A very good looking boot.

Old School aber super bequem
Ich habe mir den Schuh zum Wandern über Wege, Steige im Hochgebirge gekauft. Zum Einlaufen habe ich den Schuh mehrmals für einige Stunden am Tag und längere Spaziergänge getragen und hatte dabei keine Probleme. Zur Pflege habe ich ihn gewachst und ich trage Funktionssocken.Jetzt nach einem Klettersteigwochende meine Erfahrungen:- die Sohle ist sehr rutschfest- der Schuh gibt mir guten Halt im Sprunggelenck (ich knicke normalerweise recht leicht um)- weder beim Einlaufen, noch auf der Tour hatte ich Blasen- der Schuh ist zumindest kurzzeitig wasserdicht wenn das Wasser bis über den Knöchel steht- kleines Manko, das Leder trocknet langsam, über Nacht sollte man die Innensohle herausnehmen und ihn mit Zeitungspapier ausstopfen- die Sohle lässt sich leicht mit Wasser und einer Bürste reinigen

Die Verarbeitung und Materialien sind ungemein wertig. Nach dem ersten Ölen (bewusst kein Wachs) etwas dunkler aber noch schöner jetzt. Das Schnürsystem macht einen unkaputtbaren Eindruck und mit der Metallöse an der Zunge sehr gut gelungen. Steifigkeit und Gripp vermitteln ein überzeugende Funktionalität und Laufsicherheit. Kerniger Wanderschuh zum Weiterempfehlen 😎
