I wanted a durable sandal for travel and hiking when on vacations and I wanted something cute. These sandals were amazing! I used the to hike Arenal Volcano in Costa Rico last month and then hiked Mt Washburn in Montana last week (a 10,000 ft peak) and these shoes still look like new. I did not slip on the hikes. Of course I also wear just day to day. I will be buying more colors for sure. They do fit snug and have to work them over your heal the first few times wearing them, though this helps them feels nice and snug as you wear them. They do not pull between the toes or on the arch. Highly recommend!

I originally got these in a 9 but when they arrived I could barely get my foot into the sandal. The straps were tight on me and it would not have been comfortable at all to wear. I started a return and ordered a 10 (in a different color because I realized I would like a darker shade) and was SO HAPPY once they came. The 10 fits perfectly and is so comfortable. While I did expect the 9 to fit a little better it is not a fault of the actual item - my feet swell sometimes and I can be in between sizes from time to time. These are so cute and I am really excited that the bigger size was the perfect fit and that I dont have to abandon the idea of wearing these for the rest of the summer!

These are what you'd expect. They are attractive and reasonably comfy. No real support, and would likely only last a season or two with daily wear.

This is my first time trying out Plaka sandals, and I am a convert! Love the color combinations! The foot bed, while not "squishy" is thick enough so that it's decently comfortable, and the braided rope is very soft. Though I've worn a size 6 my entire life, I followed the reviews and sized down a full size and the 5 fits me perfectly.

The shoe fits as expected and from what I could tell just trying it on and taking a few steps seems comfortable. But the color I got is definitely not Turquoise-gray. It is turquoise but brown, not gray. That's the reason for the 3 stars. I still like them and will keep them but would have preferred gray.

I’ve been wearing these sandals for about a week now and they are pretty comfortable and holding up well so far. There’s not much art support, but the design of the straps is comfortable and they are a nice pair of go to summer sandals. I like them so much that I’m thinking about ordering them in another color.

I returned these shoes only because the color was not as I expected to go with an outfit. I was going for more of a an off white color and they were more of a light yellowish color.I loved how they looked on and they were very comfortable and the quality was there.I may order another color in the future.UPDATE————————————————————After returning the “Light Yellowish” colored pair IOrdered the same style in Black.I am VERY happy with the black ones! Took a couple of times of wear for the strings to stretch to my foot,and now they fit great!I wear them all the time as the black color goes with many of my outfits. And the unusual design of the sandals really standout!I can say I really love these sandals!

Nice and comfortable sandals, can be worn to dress up or worn casually. They come in a unique fabric bag, which is great to keep & re-use when packing sandals in a carry-on or other luggage. Seemed a little snug when first put on out of the bag, but after wearing around for a day, the material of the sandal relaxed to an almost-custom fit and now they are my go-to sandals for just about anything. I have purchased multiple pairs of Plakas at this point and a couple for other women in my family. One thing: there is no arch support in the regular Plaka sandals, as they are simple flats, but the Plaka Relief Flip Flops do have some arch support that is rather comfortable. All in all, a great buy.(Some people mentioned an odd odor with the shoes/packaging - I didn't have this issue, except with one pair. I noticed it was a strong "rubber" scent. I think the sandals' soles emitted the scent after being in a hot delivery truck. I set them out in the sun for an afternoon and the smell disappeared and has never returned.)
