Stens 420-191 Tractor Seat Repair, Multi

I ordered this product to repair a small slit in a John Deere lawn mower seat. I followed the instructions and the repair looked good...….but the first time I sat in the seat it tore open again. I applied at least 3 coats- still didn't work. When I attempted to return the product, was informed it is not returnable. TOTAL WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY. Should have used the money toward a new seat.

Used on my JD seat, cleaned seat with lacquer thinner and applied in layers as suggested and not hurry the process.The tear was on the upper corner of seat where I place my hand on getting on/off mower. I've got about 6 hours on the repair right now and it appears to be holding up. Product matches the JD yellow color well. It seems a little pricey, but, a replacement seat is so much more expensive, this way, I will be able to extend the seat life.

Just had a very small hole and is an over kill for small holes. But great on a crack on my tractor seat!

Item out of date, dried up and unusable. I want my money back.

This product works very well. I had 2 nasty cracks in the seat of my John Deer series 1 tractor. I used this and thought well it worked fair, but went back and put another layer on and now am happy with the repair. If you use this on a deep crack like I had, it is going to take multiple layers and let each layer cure before putting on the next layer.Highly Recommend!!

but taresdoes not work on tares

I followed the instructions and applied three coats of this product on a very small crack on my mower seat. It cracked open the first time I sat on the seat, after several days that I allowed it to cure. Wasted money.

Deere seat vinyl is not what it used to be!At age two this 54" mower is shed stored out of the elements. Split on both sides 1 - 2", 2 splits right, one left where it wrinkles when seated. Foam showed in two of the openings. Previous lawn tractor and seat lasted 12 years. This seat repair took 6+ coats to seal the foam in the gap and the splits. Color match a little off. Cut grass twice and seat repair is holding. So, with drying time this was an all day job to come back to. Squish tube well to help mix before use. Cleaned the seat with isopropyl alcohol before applying and stuff seems to stick well but came apart after 2 uses.

This item came expired. The paste was a solid in the tube with only a watery yellow liquid that was able to be squeezed out the nozzle. Tried trying to mush the tub around to mix the liquid and solid but it did not work! Completely unusable and not returnable apparently. Dont buy!!!
