Two of these for a 9kg mirror
Used to hang a 9kg mirror on plasterboard when the studs didn’t line up. (Used two) Measure your holes. Use a stud finder to know if there’s a stud where you want to hang it (if so, don’t use these and screw into the stud instead!). Use your stud finder to check there’s no metal or live wires in that spot too. Drill a 10mm hole. Don’t own a drill? You can buy drill bits for an electric screwdriver. Insert this plug. Unscrew a bit. Use a £10 crimp tool thing to press it into the wall and activate the hooks. (You can do without a tool, but this is much easier and you’re less likely to over tighten). Screw in, leaving a few mm. Hang your item!

Shelf hasn't fallen off.
I think I'd have to put lead bricks on the shelf to make these fail.

Original Rawlplug heavy duty plasterboard anchors.
Worth every penny - I'm using two of these to hold up a ceiling fan and it's rock solid. Packaging says use 9mm drill although I used 10mm with no problem. Anchor actually measures 9.75mm at the widest point. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++
