i can confidently say this tool has replaced my:multi toolgrindermini circular sawthe included discs are class leading, for wood, metal and tile, but i have found all 3 blades to be multi use, they will get through anything. handy when you are retrofitting bathroom tiles and fit the odd nail sticking out of the wall.installing wood flooring was a breeze, not having to take planks back and forth between the chop saw is game changing. added benefit of being on the XR platform, no downtime as I can battery swap between devices + charger. This will also cut brick, i am currently using to cut dense concrete blocks and patio slabs which it went through like butter.Your grinders days are numbered, a multi tool will feel seriously underpowered once you make the switch.Dont let the size fool you, this super compact unit packs an incredible punch and is ideal when working in restricted space or at height, the applications are endless, roofing, guttering, tiling, flooring, plumbing, wall chasing, joinery, windows, brick/block work you name it.

Powerful, compact safe one handed mini angle grinder cut off tool….Brilliant
Far more grunt than most others. It chews through steel and paver slabs with barely an audible change in note.It also has best cutting depth..upto 22mm or 7/8”.Safety First: Now it is technically an angle grinder, but don’t risk side loading cut off discs to ‘grind’ with it huh! The all metal diamond edged blades (and this tool comes with one) can be gently used side on to smooth down a cut surface because they won’t shatter on you! What you get is three different blades…a black fibre type 1mm thin cut off disc for metals (see above), a yellow diamond blade for multi materials and a smooth rim diamond disc for tiling work. Note when blade changing the arbor is a Left Hand thread (tightens counter clockwise). In operation…though you should wear ear protection, it doesn’t seem unbearably loud. Best of all it is designed for one handed use and makes cutting almost any material feel practically as easy as using scissors. It features a rotation reverse switch so you can make it shoot the spark stream forward instead of along your arm - Nice! The arbor is a less common 3/8” or 9.5mm….but a spacing ring is included for 10mm arbour discs.I recommend in particular the Ezarc 76mm x 9.5mm arbor diamond disc as it fits perfectly..A word to the wise…this WILL cut 1/2 rebar and similar if you don’t have a regular angle grinder…but that is not its forté and like all its peers it is best used on thinner stock, sheet and tube. With the yellow blade it will cut thin plywood, but it is not a circular saw and chewing into 15mm ply will bog it down and burn the wood…probably not healthy for the tool either.Slabs…yep…in seconds it cut a half inch deep groove into a paving slab..flipped it and cut the back then a hard tap and it was in two …. Barely a minute, so easy!Price…phew..it is steep at £180 without battery….but, if you break the piggy bank you won’t regret it. This is a strong, high quality, performance tool which delivers.

Just wish it had....
It's an awesome tool that will help out in many areas. I just wish it had a variable speed trigger like almost every other cordless tool these days. The trigger on the tool is just an ON/OFF switch so you either get all or nothing as far as RPM control. It does have an auto brake though which kills the wheel almost as soon as the trigger is released.

Amazing little thing!
I am a diver and needed to cut many tiles both internal and external, and also for small wood pieces. I was deciding between the compact DeWalt saw and this cut off tool, in the end chose this, based on:1. Size - this thing is super compact and light, as a result, it is very easy to control with 1 hand.2. Saw blade - the DeWalt compact saw is also amazing, but for wood cutting mainly and the blades are limited.3. The power - don't be fooled by the size, this little thing throws a punch and cut through tough porcelain 3cm external tiles like butter. Paired with 5Ah battery, it gets the job done. However due to the size and design, one could argue an angled grinder might be more versatile as one cutting tool to rule them all. I don't disagree. But with my usage which focused on cutting straight line with ease, this I think will be better than an angled grinder. So, happy days. Cannot wait for my next project.

Powerful Tool
I was on the fence about getting one of these, it had been on my wish list for a while. Once it arrived I wished I had got it sooner. The tool is well made as you would expect from Dewalt. It is lightweight and extremely powerful. The multipurpose blade made short work of cutting down some M12 bolts. Looking forward to using it on some more projects
