First of all this chair is lightweight and easy to assemble. I'm a big girl, 5'7 and 195 lbs, and it's a comfortable fit. Very sturdy! I love the side mesh for extra sun protection and the pockets.

With 4 grandkids in summer sports, I need a shady spot to sit. I have another chair with a top shade but the side/back shades of this chair along with a larger top shade, makes a huge difference for my comfort. This is actually lighter than my other chair and no fighting to put it in a bag. Win- win.

I was looking for a well-constructed, beach chair that I could get out of. This is the chair. Is sturdy enough for a hefty person, is easy to open and close, love the side panels, not too heavy. Sturdy means a little weight for the chair. The only thing I would suggest is having the very front of the canopy hinged so it would tilt downward so one could sit towards the sun and still have shade for your face. I would buy another if this one holds up to wear.
