Great will buy more when I am ready

As a professional camera operator I have used many other Aputure products over the years.In my experience, Aputure lights were quite flakey when they first appeared, having colour cast issues or build quality problems. All that seems to be long gone now and even though these tubes are from the semi-pro/amateur part of the company (Amaran) I found very little that made them feel cheap or amateurish in use.The options available using Sidus Link on your phone/iPad just gives you infinite options and the colour accuracy is very, very good.One or two features might be lacking for some circumstances but for the most part you get a lot of very usable and well-made tube light for your money. I bought two and can honestly say they are excellent. I was using Astera Titan tubes recently and I would have no qualms about using these T2c/T4c tubes alongside them.Highly recommended.

I got 2 of the Amaran T4C and these are great for my studio videos. I would usually use them as fill lights or background lights but I tried to use one also as a key light on my face and it worked pretty well as the plastic that functions as softbox it is actually soft enough.I also really enjoyed the battery settings; usually the battery would run for 2 hours, but if you need to use the light for longer, you can set the amout of time you need in the settings and the internal interface will adapt the light settings so that the battery can run for the time needed.I'm using this set for product photography too and portrait.Lot of mounting options, including a ring to hang the light.

I wanted an RGB light to add some shading to the background for my YouTube content. This light fits the bill perfectly. It's bright, easy to control with the App, and has multiple options for mounting it to stands etc. I like the fact that you can use it with or without the battery pack.

This is my first Aputure Amaran product and I have to say I am super impressed with this portable lighting solution. I mainly got it to improve the RGB lighting in my office area but also tested it outside just to see how effective the brightness is in a large open area and have been playing around with it in different formats just for fun.The quality of the light itself is great, it feels strong and robust. The battery grip feels solid and it’s easy to install and remove if needed. Once both are connected the fun begins and only your imagination is the limit of the lightings functionality. We tested this lighting with some videos and still photo shots and the pictures came out fantastic even by our amateur standards. I like that everything comes in a well presented travelling bag and can easily be taken to other locations and can also be safely stored away when not in use.Overall, I am pretty happy with this Aputure Amaran tube light wand, it’s easy to use, it’s well-made and works way better than I had originally expected.

What I love:• The app is intuitive and gives you near limitless possibilities, while the colour accuracy is near perfect.• The light itself is large, consistent and very well made. Lighting larger scenes is now a breeze.• The small screen is clear, the battery holds a decent charge and charges well and the buttons are tactileI ordered one of these and aim to order a second one. I feel that a second one would add a whole level of depth to what you could blend and achieve in whichever project you have in mind.What I don't love:• I personally haven't come across anything yet. But note I'm an amateur, so there probably are some things that I'm not noticing.Certainly indoors or outdoors, in low/no light or bright scenes, I've been able to achieve what I want and on video, no annoying flickering (which has been a pain in the past).I'm excited to up my game and can highly recommend.

Great customer service from Aputure with any questions you may have. The lights are fantastic. Easy to use with the app and can be controlled along with our 200Xs and two 100xs all in the same app.Battery life is good and they have really helped add life to the background of our shoots.Highly highly recommend to take things to the next level.

### Amaran Light ReviewI purchased an Amaran light and was initially impressed, but it malfunctioned within months. When I reached out for a replacement, Amaran refused to honor the warranty because I didn’t buy directly from their website.This policy is unfair, as many rely on reputable third-party retailers. Their customer support was dismissive, leaving me without options.While the lights perform well at first, I can’t recommend them due to poor warranty support. Unless you buy directly from Amaran, you’re taking a big risk. Look elsewhere for better customer service.
