The Lakeside Collection Slim End Tables with Drink Holders - Walnut

I was a bit reluctant to order this after reading other reviews, but the size was exactly what I needed. I figured I would give it a try. This table is perfect for my needs. The shelves are made of thin particle board, but the table top is actually made of real wood. It isn't the type of table that would take a ton of abuse, but it is sturdy enough and stable. Being narrow I was concerned it may easily fall over. I was pleased to find that it sits upright and sturdy. The directions aren't the best in the world; however, they are easy enough to follow. The most important piece is what screws to use. The short small ones hold the shelves in place (they are made out of thinner wood). The longer ones connect the main uprights and bottom shelf. There are 4 round plastic inserts that sandwich in the main table top that are there to add strength. The long screws need route from the outside through the plastic insert and then into the wood. Interesting way to design it,but they did that to add strength. When assembling the top shelf to the legs take a close look at this and you will see what I'm talking about. Not a big deal to back screws out and insert the plastic parts, but best to do it right the first time. Care needs to be taken to ensure that the wood screw goes through the hole in the plastic insert. They have a tendency to push out and the screw will route under it vs through it.

I like this table very much, however, when it arrived it had a huge chunk taken out of the side of it. I’m not sure if the damage was done during shipping or if it actually came to me that way from the seller but thankfully it’s on the back end bottom so we were able to hide it. The product itself is wonderful though and sturdy. It suits all of our needs and holds quite a lot of stuff. And it’s very pretty and fits perfectly between our couches. I would recommend it but if it comes with any damage I would reach out to the seller. I would have done that myself but as I said, we were able to hide the damage so it’s fine.

As promised, this table has nice, deep cup holders. That was the selling feature for me since we have large, tall dogs. I also liked the slim design so they don't take up a lot of walkway space (or dog race track!). The Walnut color was nicer than pictured. I had planned to paint it, but ended up liking the color. The only down side on color is the rubber screw hole cover look red since the rubber stains different than the wood. I left them off the tables. They aren't super sturdy, but perfect for drinks, your phone and 2 remotes.

This Slim End Table was perfect for what we needed it for. We had been searching for a table to go between our recliners in out camper that had a place to put our drinks and a place for the remote. Size wise it is perfect. We have modified it a little so that the small shelf area we made into cubbies and filled in the sides then put a hole in side which is not the front to put the remote and other stuff in. Again, it is perfect for our needs.

Poor quality/egregiously overpriced; assembled product/Dangerously unstable. At first I thought it was me. Little old lady with arthritic hands. So I had the boyfriend fix it. No way, then the maintenance man at my building and finally the movers. The design is just worthless. No stability of any kind...if you touch it from the top or side it collapses to the side by at least 30 degrees. I put a wooden shadow box into a space and hot-glued it into place to stabilize it somewhat but the table had that angle covered and managed to tilt anyway just not quite as far. NOW I finally read the reviews and see that I must have the one that people complain about because I've read reviews that people like it for the reasons that I purchased it. Right now I am using it as a spacer between my head on the bed and the electrical socket on the wall. Sadly, even wedged between the wall and the bed it is still unstable. It's just a piece of crap. That was nearly $70 (with tax) down the tube for a fix where I could have used a piece of 2 x 4 from the construction site next door. Too bad I waited so long to get in touch with my outrage.

I had a specific need for a skinny end table in a darker wood finish and this table fit the bill. I saw the other reviews that said it was not great quality but went with it anyway. The other reviews are correct. I thought it was simple to assemble, but the type of hardware used is cheap and no great. The screws that hold the top on didn't even engage, so if someone pulled hard enough on the top, it would likely just pull off. That also makes the unit kind of wobbly. I placed it between a sofa and wall though, so it will likely be fine. There wasn't any major damage during shipping, and the overall appearance in the room is fine.

This size is perfect for between chairs. It did take awhile to assemble. My husband is a dentist and it still took him about 45 minutes. However, will worth the effort, especially since he did it. LOL

This is such a nice table. Its thin wood but up against the side of chairs and couch is so nice. Cup holder or remote holder. My drinks safe and secure. Shelves are so big and nice. I have my cookbooks at hands reach.
