Pretty good
I originally gave a low rating but I take it back. We found the directions and it is easy, tasty, and economical.

Works every time. Wish it was cheaper
I wanted to see if I could make my own lactose free kefir, and this works every time. You just add a little bit of sugar (1/2 tsp) to a quart of lactose free milk, along with the culture packet. 24 hours later you have kefir. I haven't tried it with non dairy milks.

No fermentation with this packet.
Not sure why, but this packet didn't produce kefir after 24 hours. No fermentation at all.

I take back what I said
Previously, I gave this product one star because after 24h, it did not culture the milk at all, and after following the directions to the letter, I expected nice, creamy kefir by the end of the 24-hour period, which did not happen. However. I let the mixture continue to sit out and at around the 30-hour mark, as if a switch was flipped, the milk cultured, and I was treated to a lovely, velvety kefir. So my apologies for my initial review. Consider this review its replacement. The only reason it is 4 stars and not 5 was the extended culture time.

Taste Variation
I followed inatructions exactly the first time and it was mild and delicious, far better than store bought Lifeway Kefir. I used a heating pad on lowest setting placed in styrofoam cooler to maintain temperature. I fermented longer the second time and it was thicker and more sour. I didn't use the heating pad the 3rd time and just placed on counter at room temperature till consistency looked like the first time which took longer and it was similar to first time.

Use
I am using for fermentation. Not the designed purpose, but works rather well. The only drawback is the quantity, very little for the price in my opinion. Product is good!

Good product, easy to use
Good!! Easier than using grains. Can reculture a few additional batches with one packet. But it is more costly than grains he can reuse indefinitely.
