Thank you for writing this and sharing it with us
I would recommend this book to anybody who loves substance in building a character, small giggles, small yet thoughtful gestures that would make a woman happy, cared for and adored. So if you are into any of these, please give it a try.

entertaining
Ignite is a single dad, grumpy x sunshine, age gap romance. I’m never a fan of age gap romances but it wasn’t too bad here. The book follows Winnie—who has a habit of falling in love too quickly and swears off love for six months—and her new firefighter neighbour Dex.Pros: The highlight of the book was Winnie bonding with Dex’s daughters. The kids were very cute. The romance was pretty good once I managed to forget about the age gap. The scene where they get back together after the third act breakup was funny and cringey and I did not want to like it but it entertained me.Cons: A bunch of the dialogues and tension points were repetitive. The characters keep thinking “oh I shouldn’t do this but I’m attracted to him/her”. It was a little annoying. I also couldn’t care about Winnie’s individual arc. The way her arc ended when they got together after the third act breakup? I do NOT support it.Overall, a good enough read.

Loved it....
So the hero was not a typical suit wearing billionaire. He was an ex seal and a fireman. Points for that. Loved his character and of Millie. The emotions that Melanie can make come alive are intense. We can actually feel the emotion. And the girls....oh I burst out laughing at their behaviour at 3 occasions. Good absorbing story. I am sure the next one has got to be about Ellie and the chef. Can't wait for it.

Not at all bad read but nothing extraordinary
This novel is all about the age-gap romance between an ex-navy SEAL turned firefighter, Dex, and a girl in her early twenties, Winnie. They both live side-by-side in a condo. Dex also has two daughters, Hallie and Luna. He is divorced from Naomi.Dex doesn't come across as a grumpy dad at all excepting for his curse words. He actually appears to be soft-spoken gentleman. Hence, it's surprising that a big effort is made to project him as grumpy.Hallie and Luna are excellent characters in the novel. They really light up the moods as the novel doesn't provoke rolling laughter. It also doesn't provoke shedding tears of joy and sadness. The story rolls flat on with so many step moms and step dads, giving the impression that happily-ever-after is almost an abnormal thing in American society. That's where the storyline gets grounded into superficial dialogues and artificial cultural behaviour. It's not the case with mainstream American society! Family values matter! Fidelity in marriage is valued by majority of Americans! There is no showing but only telling. There was scope for a lot of emotional impact but has been unfortunately sidelined. Example: Dex saves two girls from fire. That could have been described. Another is Dex's ill father. Again, only reporting but no showcasing dialogue between Dex's sister and his dad. So, no touching scenes. The story does not live up to the hype in the excellently written blurb. There were very few a-ha moments but they happen in the final chapters when Dex and Winnie re-unite; another one happens when Winnie discovers her Christmas present. In summary, not at all a bad read but nothing extraordinary.

A sexy, steamy and charming story!
When Melanie Harlow announced that she was going back to Cloverleigh Farms and bringing the kids of the original gang to life, I squealed so loud. I have loved the Sawyer family so much that I was sad when the books ended. Sure, we got the awesome Bellamy Creek group too, but the Cloverleigh gang was who introduced me to Melanie and I wanted more. And now we have it!Ignite follows Winnie (daughter of Frannie and Mack from Irresistable) as she gives up on love and trying to find the one and chooses to find happiness in other ways. She’s got a habit of falling in love really easily and really fast, and then getting her heart broken just as fast. Her long line of exes is proof of that and Winnie is tired of the idiots she’s dated. So she makes a bet with her best friend that she will not fall in love with anyone till Christmas just to prove to the two of them that she can do it. Except, Winnie doesn’t realise that her new neighbour is exactly the kind of trouble she was trying to avoid. Dex is a divorced single dad to two of the most entertaining and adorable little girls and a firefighter. He’s trying to make a good home for his daughters and keep his head on straight all at the same time. The last thing he needs is distraction in the form of a younger, stunning woman who lives next door. This book had every trope I enjoy––age gap, single dad, grump x sunshine, neighbours with benefits––so I had absolutely no doubt that this book would hook me. And it did. From the moment I started reading, I didn’t want to put it down. Besides going back to Cloverleigh and seeing all the familiar faces, I just really loved the relationship between Winnie and Dex. He’s a real sexy grump and it’s not an act, he’s even that way with his little girls. And Winnie is the complete opposite. She’s all sunshine and happiness and accidental seduction.I’m always worried about single dad romances, because I want difficult kids or kids who make being a single parent a little harder, but Dex’s daughters were a handful. Yes, they were stinking cute, but they were so much chaos and fun. I couldn’t stop laughing every time they woke him up or just appeared on the page. They truly made such an impact on me with all of their shenanigans. I was not expecting to love them the way I did.Winnie and Dex are scorching hot, it makes sense why this book is titled Ignite, because their chemistry is off the charts. Winnie tells Dex all about her difficulty not falling in love and one thing leads to another and we get some ridiculously hot steam. Their neighbours to friends with benefits situation is delicious. I loved that with Dex, Winnie doesn’t hold back on what she wants. And Dex doesn’t either. There are multiple scenes where I had to force myself to breathe because these two truly do set the page on fire. I really enjoyed their scenes where they’re being friends too, because that kind of chemistry is always so good. And of course, all the little glimpses of the Sawyer family and Frannie and her sisters, visits from Bellamy Creek faces all tied up this book so nicely! I cannot wait to see who else we get to meet, because I am absolutely and completely in love with everything that is Winnie and Dex.Thanks to Melanie Harlow and Social Butterfly PR for generously providing me with an advance copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

5🍭🍭🍭🍭🍭Spanish & English Opinion🇺🇸 Sunshine heroine/ grumpy single dad hero + great writing style = epic win!I love the connection between the past stories and this one!The hero loves to curse and I’m a big fan! She’s fierceless and lovely! The girls are amazing. They seem real, expressing themselves in what definitely could be their ages, and they are adorable. This book is a MUST read!🇲🇽 Heroína feliz/ galán gruñón y papá soltero + excelente estilo de escritura = aplausos.

Funny, heartwarming and beautiful
I was just browsing through Amazon when I stumbled upon this book. The premise was interesting so I decided to give it a try and boy, am I glad I did it!I loved it start to finish (and the exclusive bonus scene on the author’s website). The romance is fast paced, but very well developed. The kids are the MVPs and the story is endearing. This was my first in the series and I’m already hopping on to the other books. Throughly recommend it.

Four Stars
4 stars because it was too much alike Frannie and Declan's story. Even the girls were alike. But I still loved the couple.
