Families and Murder
Another Great Novel that is full of twists and turns, family secrets and intrigue. Two families joined by loss and death.

A locked room mystery… with a difference.
Quite enjoyed this - plot a tad far fetched maybe a lot of trouble to go to, but not impossible.I liked the pace of this book. Main police characters very believable, likeable and well written. Enjoyed the railway theme, the ingenious way the crime was committed- tho not sure the actual logistics would work in practice! But it’s fiction, enjoyable read.

Enjoyable
It was a good read. The plot acted out well. You realised it had to be connected to the railway staff, but who, why, and how. It was a bit slow at times.

Couldn’t put down but for the wrong reason
Nice locations and scenery very precisely described, and an easy read. Proudly old-fashioned, see epigraphs from classic thrillers as well as steam train atmospherics. BUT I could not get over a failure by either three top detectives or the murderer to consider one of the most obvious sources of evidence. I kept reading at great speed - and quite enjoyed doing so - mainly in order to see how long it would take to click, but it never did.

Railway murders
Good read

Good murder mystery story.
Lovely descriptions of Yorkshire amid a puzzling murder. Kept me guessing until the vital information was discovered! However, too many detectives' family members seem to get involved in murder novels these days - a little unlikely for this to happen so often! Nice characters, good back stories, will need to read more!
