A good read
It was fun returning to Malta after the first book. The stories were engaging and and fascinating. The wide range of ideas and plots kept you excited for each new story.

I think I could learn to like Malta.
I ordered this book in hopes it would arrive prior to my departure for an upcoming convention. It got here well in advance, so naturally I had to worry about finishing it before the convention. Silly me. Story after story rolled by quicker than my wife could mutter "Turn off the damn light and let me sleep." Great collection of tales spanning from Biblical times to the modern day, each one capturing a bit of Malta, with a strong dash of history, and maybe a sprinkling of magic.

A nice collection to the series
The Siege by Hankins and Ancestors by Welling were the best.

This was an interesting project.
The story I wrote for this anthology popped almost whole into my mind after reading the first book, Ghosts of Malta. From there it was just a matter of getting the story from my head to the screen.Along the way there was studying about Malta, which has a fascinating history. I'm grateful to Lawdog for the opportunity, but honestly that story was there when I got here. I'm just the secretary who typed it up.

The series is 2 for 2 of good reading!
Sometimes, when you’re reading a book, you know you’re going to be disappointed when it comes to the end because there’s no more book: the multi series books are the kind of enjoyable read a little bit of myth, a little sci-fi, a little bit of history. Great human stories!

A fantastic collection showcasing Maltese determination
Every single story here does a great job of showcasing not only the titular Mediterranean island, but its people and their enduring tenacity to defend their home from those who would attack it. Any front, any time, the Maltese people continue to be the poster children and living embodiment of The Castle Doctrine, and the spirit of these people shine through in the stories. A fine read.

Awesome!
I read this as a Kindle Unlimited selection.Malta is a small island. That means the people have to be larger than life. These stories bring that out. The days of Knights may draw to and end, but the resolve of people who Will Not quit will only grow.
