Bristol Novelty BA702 Feather Raven, Unisex-Adult, One Size

I bought this as a prop when I went trick or treating with my niece and nephews and dressed up as Maleficent. It is a hard plastic raven shape (hollow so it's not at all heavy) that has been covered in black feathers, with black, flat-backed beads for eyes and thin plastic legs/feet.When it first arrived one of the eyes had come off. I decided to just stick it back on with some nail glue I had.I wanted to secure it to the top of a plastic cane to look like he was sitting on it and tried to achieve this with a couple of tie wraps. Unfortunately the legs weren't substantial enough to support the size of the body so he wouldn't stay upright. In the end I decided to just hold him in place.We were out maybe 2 hours or so and after about 15 minutes one of his legs fell off (it came out of the body). I pushed it back in but it kept falling off. When we arrived back to my sister's house one of the raven's legs was missing, one of his eyes was gone, the other leg was tie wrapped to the top of the cane and I was carrying the now legless raven in my hand.As I bought it for a costume accessory I didn't want to spend a fortune (I love ravens so would have liked him to last and I would have kept him on my shelf or something as a decoration) but for the price I paid I would expect it to last more than a couple of hours of literally nothing more rough than being carried around. Overall the quality is really poor and he ended up going in the bin on Halloween night.Such a shame as he was actually really cute and looked semi-realistic.If you are wanting this to do no more than sit on a shelf and you're prepared to stick any broken parts back on before putting him on the shelf then it may be perfect for your needs. Anything more than that and I wouldn't waste your money.

I’ll start with the positives. This raven is a lot bigger than expected, and it arrived on time. I have been generous because of the size by giving it 3 stars.The Negatives, one of the eyes is hanging of, there are a few places that have glue on the feathers and have paper stuck to it, there are also a couple of places that have feathers missing.All fixable but for the price you shouldn’t have to.

not worth the money paid and it doesnt stand unaided so wouldn't be good if you plan on using it for display purposes however it's ok for what i needed it for. (maleficent costume for book day). one eye is clearly glued in the wrong place and it has glue where the eye should be. you can also clearly see the glue where the legs have been attached. looking for positives.....arrived in time, bigger than I thought it was going to be and it looks better from a distance.

I love Poe, even though his leg fell off after an hour.Not the best quality but he’s my best friend.Look, he’s in my Christmas tree.

After mixed reviews and not a very good product picture decided to order anyway seeing as the all plastic raven from Wilkos was discountinued before being on the shelves or to store order, weird. Product better than the product picture with feathers on it, so for the money I am quite happy after all it will be high up where I am placing it - so from a distance its fine. I used a fine brush and some matt black paint to paint the beak darker near the head to simulate beak tassles which is what they have.
