Color Cover Not Representative of the Book
It's an interesting book that covers a lot of ground as far as motorcycling culture in the 1950's. There's a lot of information and a lot of illustrations. My only complaint, and it's a big one - it's not in color !! The cover illustration is typical of the fantastic art that was used in advertising during this era, and the range of talent and style is incredible. I realize that some of the originals could only be had in black print on white paper but most of the really cool stuff was done in color. To not make this a color book is a travesty. Someone had a great idea and then somewhere along the line it was cheaped out. Too bad, it's an opportunity missed.

Great present for anyone who was around bikes in the 50’s
My father in law was in his Teens and Twenties in the 1950’s . He found this book wonderful, bringing to life lots of fond memories so for that alone it deserves 5 stars. It covers road bikes, racing, scrambling and even 50’s bike attire. When I looked through I noted that the pictures inside are Black and White and whilst I appreciate some of that due to the era I think a few colour pictures would have made it more visually appealing.

Would have been good to have some colour photos inside the book
Would have been good to have some colour photos inside the book, but a good book full of interesting historical detail, takes you right back to the past.
