I know not to install a smoke detector in my attic due to high risk of false alarms, so opted for the recommended heat detector. It seems this detects the rate of temperature rise rather than just a high temperature. An in-built ten-year life battery prevents annoying low-battery 'chirping' at 2amIt has a low volume test button but press the button twice for an ear-splitting full volume test. There is a hush button for an 8 hour pause, considering smoke will not set this off - it is not to shut the sounder off when the fry up has gotten out of control, it is to hush the warning chirp when the battery finally diesIn-built and non-replaceable batteries as advertised, even if the batteries only last 6 or 7 years it is still cheaper than an annual replacement of quality 9v batteries

Very stylish looking heat alarm, seen some boring looking ones but this one is very stylish and doesn’t stick out like sore thumb. Very easily mounted with the backing plate (screws and small plugs come included). 10 year built in battery so no need to worry about replacing it for a long while! Perfect for kitchens garages and lofts. From a great and very trusted brand which has been around for the good part of 23 years and have sold 50 million alarms! Great product at a very decent price!

After conducting lengthy research for a kitchen Heat Alarm, the FireAngel was a clear winner. The product arrived from the UK with clear instructions and installation was very easy. Tested it and it works great. I plan to purchase more; for the garage and the fireplace. The delivery of this product by the USPS was extremely slow and precipitated a negative review on my part. The delayed delivery was not the seller’s fault. The seller kept comminuting with me and has proven worthy of my trust. Thank You!

I wanted an alarm for the garage. Cars can just light on fire for no reason apparently. Makes me feel better about leaving the car in the garage. We didn’t wire it but use a battery, That we continue to check . You cannot use regular alarms in the garage. I think the building code should enforce these alarms for car fires.

Si sumamos el coste es, repito, ridiculo.Respecto a este, concretamente:Tiene una batería integrada que dura (en teoría) 10 años desde que la activas.Se atornilla el soporte en el techo y el detector se acopla a ese soporte.No es ni grande ni pequeño, en 3 días ya no te das cuenta de que está .En un futuro compraré los detectores de humo.
