The foam pipe insulation was as described, and just what I needed for my 'off label' use. Important to note that this material is a tube, it has no slit for installation.

I use this to put in my patio sliding door so the cat has a small opening at the bottom to go out on the deck. Works perfect.

Not exactly what I was looking for
If you are buying this product for anything other than protecting an edge of a hockey rink, then disregard this review. It was not as stiff as I was hoping. Probably awesome for insulating pipes though.

Used it to seal my leaky car trunk...
It is soft enough to cut/shape and stay in place even after many trunk opens/closes.Could be used anywhere you need a thick soft sealing material... campers, etc.

Deceptive photo, read the details
I should have read the fine print. The insulation is only 3/8" thick. The photo makes it look much thicker, relative to the diameter of the opening.

It was not purchased for the intended use
It fit perfectly and now my jerk cat cannot knock my glasses, phone or fan remote off the back of my headboard.
