This is hands-down the nicest whiskey glass I own. It comes in a in a super-padded box, and if you’re willing to gift it, there’s a really nice gift card with an envelope inside. That was the plan, until I had the glass in my hand.The glass weighs in at a whopping 14.82 ounces (420 grams), whereas my other favorite whiskey glasses weigh only 12.1 ounces (343 grams). Almost a full pound of glass. The measurements on the product page are all correct.The logo is etched in pretty deeply, and looks great. If you use ice, the logo’s rough surface provides a nice grippy area to prevent slipping once the glass is sweating. I do wish it was a little lower though, because when the logo is facing me, sometimes my lip touches it and I don’t care for that feeling.The bottom is deeply concave, and perfect for your fingers if you like to avoid holding it by the sides. Inside, the bottom of the glass is flat.The rim is thick, smooth, and uniform, with no discernible ‘edge’ to it. The whole glass, especially the base, is thick and heavy. Reasons I prefer a thick whiskey glass are cold retention, durability, stability, and suitability for muddling if you’re making a cocktail. This one works for all of those.I don’t think this is classified as ‘crystal’ glass, but it’s very clear glass. (My pictures don’t do it justice… my fingerprints were all over it.) There are no ‘seams’ or anything that would indicate that this was a mass-produced glass, and I believe the manufacturer’s claim that this is hand made.Hope this helps.

If you are pressed for time, TLDR; etc - go to bottom for PROS and CONS...If you got a second...read on...Old Lives Matter Whiskey Rocks Glass rocks (no pun intended)!It comes in giftable box, with foam insert, so survives shipping with no problems.Since it is handmade, it might have small blemishes, but in my personal opinion, it adds character - feel free to call me old fashioned....(sorry for another pun...).Lettering is etched, so it will not wear out during washing, glass itself is heavy - in a good way - when you are holding it, you notice it...It even comes with a small envelope with blank card in it - perfect for personalized note...So the important question...what would I change about it....?Nothing! It is perfect as it is.As promised:PROS:- handmade- heavy- etched.- perfect capacity.CONS:....none....

This whiskey glass is great! At least I think so. I found the sentiment really funny, which is why I bought it as a gift for my husband. The engraved sentiment is very well done. The glass is a classic rocks glass, heavy on the bottom with thinner glass on top. It's slightly bigger than others we have, but that just means you can drink more while it looks like the same amount as in the smaller glass. Unfortunately, when I gave this glass to my husband the humor got lost somewhere. I'm thinking that he took exception to being called old. Aside from that I think he liked that I thought about him. I think the glass is great!

This is your typical, solid, thick, heavy-bottomed whiskey glass. As in, it will do a great job of holding your drink and keeping it cold. It's well-made. The glass is smooth and the ridges on the bottom are precise. The "OLD LIVES MATTER" logo is also precise. I couldn't find anything on the glass itself or the packaging that says whether it's dishwasher-safe (or not), so I've been running it through the dishwasher. The logo is holding up well, so I'm calling it dishwasher-safe. So if you have an older person in your life who likes to drink their whiskey, bourbon, vodka, or gin out of a nice glass and you want to tell them that their life matters to you; I can recommend this one. They'll love it.

Loved the box this came with and the provided card to write a note on when gifting. Top Notch in that respect. The glass itself is well made, not thin and flimsy but of a good weight (especially on the bottom) to hold in ones hand and not have to worry about it breaking easily. The etching on the front looks great, no abnormalities whatsoever and I personally look forwarding to gifting this to MYSELF and filling this awesome glass with a nice pour. You young whipper-snappers be kind to use old fellas! ;)Great product and most definitely would recommend this to any whiskey drinkers in the family who you might think would enjoy it.

My Boss is about 10 years younger than Me and was complaining his youngest daughter will be graduating in a couple more years and how all his kids keep reminding him how he is so old. This is a guy that takes a week off and will go hike 250 miles in the back woods of Oregon. I saw this Old Lives matter glass and had to get it just to needle him. The glass very sturdy and has a really think base. He is a fellow Whiskey Drinker and will really appreciate the gift. it comes in a nice sturdy box and it says it's hand made so might have some minor defects to give it character. Great gift for anyone that is old or just wants to embrace getting older

I was pleasantly surprised by how sturdy this glass is. I believe anyone would be happy to receive this glass as a gift.My only complaint is the wording is a bit light, but that's primarily because its laser engraved not painted on (slightly different than the description). That is OK with me as it means the wording will stay on "forever".Overall, I would highly recommend this as a very giftable glass.
