Merrell Women's Moab 3 Hiking Shoes

The best part is that this shoe has a wide toe box. And it is all day comfortable. It is a shoe for working, hiking, etc., you’re not going to run in it (but you could if you had to), the wide toe box and the stability is what I needed so badly because I weed eat a motocross track for eight hours each day of the weekend, and by the first five hours with any other shoe, no matter how good it is, I have tired arches and aching toes and metatarsal issues. I even have prescribed insoles, but if you don’t have a wide toe box , you’re fighting against nature. These are awesome, look sturdy and they are, but they are not heavyweight. Super comfy. I really should get two pairs before I can’t find these again.

I bought these shoes for a vacation in Olympic National Park and Mt. Rainier National Park. I am not exactly the outdoorsy type, and not athletic. I also had foot surgery 14 months before the trip, so comfortable, supportive shoes were essential. These filled the need perfectly. They’re super comfortable and supportive, and although I did give them a break-in before the trip, they really did not need a break-in period. The Vibram soles kept me stable on rougher terrain. These are a great choice if you plan to stick to easy-level hikes, and don’t want to commit to boots (and take up a lot of room in your suitcase.) Oh, and no blisters!

I love my Merrell Moab 3 hiking boots. The fit was perfect I wear a 61/2 and that’s what I ordered no problem there they hug my feet perfectly they keep my ankles stable. I love the soft light colors on them . They are water resistance in a rain my feet stay dry but if you walk through a pot hole filled with water than your feet are likely to get wet.. over all they are durable and versatile. Excellent in almos every way you can imagine. Comfortable, very good traction, very good feet protection, water resistant , and good both for trekking, exercising and even to wear with jeans. A bit squarish but still nice in appearance. My only complaint, is that they could be more feminine and less blocky. Other than that they are superb.

I bought these shoes over a year ago for a trip to Yosemite. They fit perfectly and were comfortable all day long. I put them away when I got back and took them out for my trip to Ireland a couple of weeks ago. I ended up wearing them almost every minute of the trip! Supportive and sturdy, but not clunky or heavy. And they hold up - no damage or wearing on the bottom really. Unlike my Hokas where cost three times as much and have pieces of the rubber bottom hanging off. My daughter has these exact shoes too and wore them all over Mt Zion and Bryce Cannon - she's more of a real hiker/climber than I am. She loves them too! I rarely write a review but these shoes deserve the hype!

Second pair in 3 years. I wear them for work doing landscape maintenance and walk on average 30 miles a week in these shoes. They are comfortable out of the box! No break in needed. Definitely need to size up though. I normally wear a 10 and have to get an 11. Only work shoes I'll wear! My feet stay dry walking thru dew covered grass and light rain and traction is great. If its flat out thick mud then not matter what shoes you have on you'll slip but for most other ground traction is good.

THese hiking shoes are awesome! I went hiking all over Utah and they were perfect for a rough trail. Good traction on rocks and uphill and they were very comfortable! Perfect hiking shoes!

Left only 3 stars because the colorway on the shoes is off. The picture on Amazon looks all grey and in person, part of the design looks like a light purple. Still cute & comfy tho.

It’s comfortable for hiking

I have never purchased a shoe, online or in person, that fit so perfectly and comfortably from the moment I slipped my foot in. I have owned and enjoyed Merrell shoes before but this one beats them all. I have an average width foot, with a high instep, small beginners bunions, and squashed up fourth and pinky toes. I was looking for a shoe with a roomier toe box that would accommodate my instep and fit securely in the heel. The traction pattern and low slip sole compound were also important attributes. This shoe excels in all of these areas. The cushioning throughout is firm yet not stiff. Outstanding toe box design with a good shape and lots of room, but does not feel at all sloppy. Secure and comfortable heel cup. The grip is excellent and not so aggressive that you stumble on paved/cement surfaces. Last but not least, the green colour is absolutely everything I’ve ever wanted in a green shoe. I don’t want neon, or lime, I just want a nice natural and pleasant green. Which these are!! Hurray for green and huge kudos to Merrell for knocking it out of the park with these shoes. I unhesitatingly recommend these shoes and would buy another pair in an instant. Side note - as has been happening distressingly often of late - Amazon’s delivery promise was broken. There is no recourse as with a (expensive) Prime membership, shipping is considered to be free. Unfortunately, some of us order from Amazon because we need something last minute and have no other way of acquiring it. Three of my last four orders have been delayed from one to five days and you can’t even file a complaint. Shame on you.
